I imagine the character. I’m self aware enough to know my personality would not get me as far as whatever adventure / life change they are going through lol

I’m just the narrating voice-over watching a movie in my mind.

No wonder the discourse surrounding story, writing and media so chaotic

When your friend is telling a story about his life do you imagine yourself as him too?

I self insert as the villain and it's a lot easier to get invested in movies that way

Side character or protagonist beside the main character

If you ever watched people's game play throughs, you can see if they're vibing with MC or nor by how they're narrating about the MC and their choices/path/methods etc

Full vibe: I, we

No vibe: He/she, [name]

I don't imagine I'm anyone or anything. The movie speaks for itself.
