The crazy thing is that casinos would make more money if they allowed card counters to play. For every person who makes a few grand, there's a hundred morons who think "easy money!", and drop a mortgage payment.
To be honest, I don't know why they don't just use huge decks (like 100x regular decks worth) and just shuffle before counting could ever feasibly give the player a statistical advantage. Seems like the extra effort would be worth not getting the bad PR from "kicking out people just for playing well within the rules". Like the casinos are so unskilled at what they do they can't even setup the games so that house advantage is guaranteed without kicking out overperformers? That's just embarrassing, at least rig it properly.
