It's a hostile world everything is trying to kill us. Every time you draw a breath the oxygen denatures your DNA. I mean chemically speaking just the act of being alive is a controlled slow burn.

2,300 years before the invention of the lighter Herokleitos was spitting fire.

To think...humans went around 300k years before a convenient instant way of starting fires was invented. Around the same amount of time for toilet paper. Hell, toilet paper wasn't splinter free until the 1930s... I think about that more than I probably should.
