Yeah, was thinking along the same lines, but more in terms of mimicry, it’s not chromatophoric abilities of the chephalopods, but it is on the opposite spectrum. Now imagine a predator with both abilities. That’s movie monster magic right there.

Isn't there also a thing, where we are not able to distinguish certain colors but birds can? I just have that somehow in my mind, so I could be totally wrong

Yes. They see on the UV spectrum. For example, crows are no solid black and have patterns on their feathers that humans can't see but birds can.
