Not only is this the greatest play in Knicks history it also happened on my birthday June 10. Me personally I will Never will forget this moment at all. What a game. This is the type of play people will be talking about 50 yrs from now 💯

They won game one on June 3rd which was my 50th birthday. It was the most epic present. I knew that night we were going all the way

They won game 5 on my dad's 60th birthday, this shit is still unreal

u/Our_Lady_of_Lourdes Wu Tang Knicks 3d ago

I get chills all over again. Was your dad excited? I watched the entire season with my dad, he is turning 71 this month and has been a Knicks fanatic my whole life

u/spatchcockturkey 33 4d ago

Awesome man. Hope you celebrate the tip, just the tip, for eternity

u/Frankieboy610 4d ago

💯 I will 🟠🔵🟠🔵🟠🔵🟠🔵🟠🔵🟠

u/Sirhumpsalot13 4d ago

Yup. Exactly why I bought this.

u/blueye525 4d ago

I will never not watch this. One of the greatest plays of all time, made by my team, after a historic comeback, in the finals. And I got to celebrate it with my boys

My wife was. But fuck it, spouses come and go. Knicks are forever!

u/theRestisConfettii Sprewell Celebration 4d ago

My brother in Christ, women come and go. No one will ever be able to take the 2026 NBA Champion New York Knicks away from us.

u/jenkins271 4d ago

She was, you just didn’t know it. Fuck her!

u/Earthbound-and-down 4d ago

Sorry to hear that bro

Damn. She fucked OG?

I'm one of those morning people. Work starts at 830 but I'm awake at 5am. Ngl, every 3rd day or so, I re-watch end of game 4, game 5, and the Mikal live stream with my coffee and bagel.

Savage bro

u/gOldMcDonald 4d ago

Given the gravity of the moment, certainly one of the greatest moments in sport’s history

u/TellFit7415 4d ago

I wonder how many views of this there are. There's gotta be like at least 100 people recording this from different angles

u/SquatOnAPitbull 2d ago

I haven't seen one from the nosebleeds yet. Those are the best cause you can see the whole arena explode at the same time.

u/jahauser 4d ago

The most insane game and finish ever. How was this real? I was laying in bed watching on my phone lights off just shaking

u/Urban_Introvert Lin Game Winner 4d ago

Peep Dillon Jones in street clothes telling everyone to stay locked in since they still needed a stop and the game wasn't over yet.

u/SnooRegrets2479 20h ago

When the game was over I noticed him hug KAT and I didn’t think anything of it. But once we won the chip and the word was spreading that he was a locker room leader behind the scenes, it made every rewatch hit harder.

u/HateMcLouth Mike Breen 4d ago

was at this game, sitting in the 300s - most i've ever spent on a ticket for any sporting/live event, and i'll never regret it. people were crying and hugging and highfiving and just going NUTS for a while after the game.

i think i went to sleep at like 3 or 4 AM after that game. was running on pure adrenaline and joy after that.

it took me a few days after that to fully process what i'd experienced. watched the replays several times over on nba league pass, still couldn't really believe that comeback or that i'd been there for it.

fuck it, gonna watch the replay of Q4 again now.

u/KKvanMalmsteen 4d ago

I still can’t believe it’s real. Not just this play. All Of It. Knicks fan for over 40 years man it still feels like a dream. We’re the fucking NBA Champions.

u/TundroT21 Anthony Mason 4d ago

That music fucks it all up.

u/Sharkwatcher314 4d ago

Yeah def the crowd’s energy and cheers are way better than any music score

u/dakid136 4d ago

We don't need to add background music to fuckin everything

u/craxxter 4d ago

Un real. The fact that I saw this live outside in the city makes it better.. like actually unbelievable.

u/Goatlikejordan Jeremy Lin 4d ago

Kat said he was gonna get this tip in. I don't think he would've gotten to it

u/Frankieboy610 4d ago

Nah as much is I love Kat he was definitely far from it. OG had the Perfect placement and he was at the right spot for the tip in go ahead basket. That was all OG

u/mr_feenys_car 4d ago

I think he meant if OGs shot hit the rim he would have been there for a follow in.

Not sure if he had the time, but he did have good position

u/Frankieboy610 4d ago edited 4d ago

Oh I get what you’re saying. If OG missed Kat would have tipped in his miss. Honestly I think you’re right he didn’t have the time. I don’t even wanna think about that scenario. I’m glad it played out the way it did.

u/BerryFit3491 4d ago

Best sporting event I’ve attended

u/Ok_Selection_1431 4d ago

GREATEST PLAN IN KNICKS HISTORY!!!

u/JumpmanNY31 4d ago

This is a great angle, never seen it from this pov b4. Really makes OG’s effort and leap look that much greater. I love seeing the reaction from Harper and Castle as well, like “did that just fuckin happened?”

u/Yellowperil123 4d ago

LOL Mitch just bouncing up and down in the background after the TO.

HYPE

u/Be-Kind-Remind 4d ago

It. Will. NEVER. Get. Old.

u/Artsakh_Rug 4d ago

The tip looks so much more difficult at that angle, he was not that fucking close, and to do it full Sprint forward motion while your back is fully extended is really fucking hard dude

u/upsanddownes 4d ago

The Hand of OG

u/81-K 8 4d ago

I couldn't find a good fit so I had my own printed.

u/mrod9191 Amare Goggles 4d ago

This is a core memory and I will forever watch this highlight. Up there with the helmet catch as one of the best / most clutch plays of my lifetime

u/solo118 Ewing to the Finals 4d ago

I'd agree. In my many years of Knicks fandom this does not go in 10/10 times.

u/Railshock 2026 Champs 4d ago

That was the moment I knew we were destined to win the chip

u/TrollAccount4321 4d ago

One of the greatest moments in sport…

u/CreativeBee333 4d ago

Never gets old 💯

u/Stupidasshole87 4d ago

Honestly, I think I had either food poisoning or something going on. I was on the toilet for like the 15th time this day watching it on my phone. I still enjoyed the shit out of it. Literally.

u/solo118 Ewing to the Finals 4d ago

I still can't comprehend it all.

u/GuyShocku 4d ago

I just love KAT’s reaction. If there are haters in this world there’s gotta be lovers, and he’s def one of them. Dude shocked the shit outta Wetbumyama in games one and two and had a subsequent presence that forced SA to adjust ………. Then lose. Call him rizzy all you want, he’s a champ because of his own actions. Suck it.

u/TankDivision Mike and Clyde 4d ago

Being there, I’d say Wemby missing the fts was at least as loud.

u/HateMcLouth Mike Breen 4d ago

totally. was there and by that point the crowd legit believed. and it was loud enough that we were in the Spurs' head. if anyone ever doubts the xfactor of home crowd advantage, they gotta watch the second half where NOBODY left, and everyone cheered like mad for every bucket that cut the lead to 20, then to 15, then 10, then single digits...

u/Superlolz Metal Bats 4d ago

nosebleeds were thousands of $ right? i wouldn't be leaving either ROFL

u/BAMBAMBAKLAVA11 4d ago

Am I the only person who found this game to be absolutely miserable?

By Q2 all the horrible memories started hitting me. The thoughts of ‘you’re so stupid, how could you think the Knicks would ever have anything nice’ started rolling in nonstop

Then it was just balancing between getting excited and being scared to fall for the millionth heartbreak

u/thethingisman 4d ago

My daughter being born will be the most magical and memorable moment of my life, but god damn is this close!!

u/regeneratedant LJ's 4 Point Play 4d ago

The way Harper just deflates there...you can see his spirit leave his body.

u/99ProblemsSA 12h ago

Down 29 !!! Wemby 🤡in ya Head ❗️🙄 Bang ❗️ OG with the Tip in ❗️ Knicks in 5❗️🏀🔥

u/allanjameson 4d ago

What are the odds the NBA strips the Knicks ring after the Pablo Torre investigation into Brunson’s questionable contract situation?

u/Foi_ 4d ago

you mean the overpay followed by the max allowed?

u/lIlIIlIIllIllIlIIIll 3d ago

Nobody talks about it but that was a terrible shot from Brunson.
