Apparently yes via the ride but the ride has been a point of contention
•
u/Awkward-Forever868 20h ago
The ride isn't canon and even then he only absorbed normal evolves energy, NOT supercharged.
•
u/NoPack4545 20h ago
While there's no direct confirmation that it is canon there is a offical statement that says it ties into supernova and that people from the mv worked on it
I have my doubts and reasoning to conject it's apparent canonicity like the different dna,the melting of his dorsal plates, inconsistencies in the ride and etc especially from a power scaling perspective but I digress

This is kinda off topic and quite long sorry. It’s on the topic of Goji v Kong as this post suggests though.
Had an argument a while back on the whole scene in Egypt and the ride was brought up for Kongs sake- apparently he is able to directly fight Shimo in someway. But there were people wanting to justify Kong being able to basically murder Godzilla while he’s knocked out. They didn’t understand that you can kill anything sleeping if it’s Sleeping. All of the ways they were commenting were in ways just trying to get someone to say “yes Godzilla can be killed in this moment as he is knocked out“ -(unable to defend himself), then they’d attack you semantically when you didn’t say he would’ve been killed in that situation. (A child with a gun could kill a sleeping special ops soldier in the same way Kong could kill Godzilla unconscious…)
The backwards part is that the scene in Egypt is specifically there to bring gojis attention to a growing problem and forcefully having Kong inject him into the fight before it becomes a Godzilla-sized problem on the surface. Quite a disgusting route to take for a post but it was a post.•

Honestly, while Kong could've built up further damage, I don't think he could've killed Godzilla with the BEAST Glove.
Godzilla is extremely resistant to Blunt Force Trauma, to the point that even Mechagodzilla, for all of that prolonged beating, seemed incapable of actually killing Godzilla with that and resorted to using that to weaken him enough to use his Proton Scream and Tail Drill.
Same deal with Kong's BEAST Glove.
He could knock him out and really bruise him up, but I honestly think Godzilla's just too tough to be killed by that Blunt Force Trauma within a reasonable timeframe. The moment Kong can't keep Punching due to either thinking he won or simple exhaustion, Godzilla can get back up and then entirely negate whatever advantage the Gauntlet had initially given Kong.
All that Punching didn't leave any lasting damage compared to Skar instantly getting a Tooth knocked out from a single Punch.
Same with Mechagodzilla Punching Godzilla in GvK.
While those hits hurt a lot and can even knock him out for a brief spell, dealing lasting and lethal damage seems to be out of the question, at least with Blunt Force Trauma to the Skull. All that Punching might well have also rattled his Brain "back into action" so to speak if he kept hitting for too long. Like, I think eventually Godzilla would've woken up and just began to ignore the Punches enough to throw Kong off of him.
Ironically, the fact that both Kong and MG always aimed for Godzilla’s Head is honestly to their detriment, as aiming for something like the Gills would probably do more actual damage, albeit it wouldn't knock Godzilla out and would very overtly piss him off to the point of going Berserk.
TL:DR
I doubt he could kill him with Blunt Force Trauma alone, at least to the Face.
Godzilla's noggin is particularly resistant even if he can be knocked out for a spell with enough concentrated hits in a short duration.
But Godzilla Evolved didn't even sustain any bruising from that beatdown, and any further hits might well have "rattled his brain back into action", so to speak, which would entirely negate the purpose of laying him out to begin with.

These are perfect examples, i can’t justify the plausibility of “I have this guy knocked out for 10 seconds, let me murder him”, when we are talking about Godzilla.
•
u/Daikaiju_Fan 19h ago
Godzilla was only knocked out for less than 10 seconds in that scene too, far too little time for Kong to do any meaningful damage

Ur still coping?
•
u/Awkward-Forever868 7h ago
I'm still coping? Brother there's nothing to say it's canon, it's just a ride
•
u/SweatyEddie123 7h ago
Gojo guy made a video on it and he shown tons of proof it’s canon it’s been a whole month and ur still tryna cope by saying it’s not canon 😹😹

Gojo guy made a video on it and he shown tons of proof it’s canon
Goji guy as a source means nothing, there's also too many continuity errors like Kong blocking Shimo's beam with the ax when Movie showed he can't do that along with the ax absorbing Evo's beam making no sense when Godzilla new Dorsal specifically had to evolve to contain energy, you seem like the dense type who just wants to ragebait so I'll save my time.
•
u/PkmnBoberow 20h ago
Most likely yes Atomic breath is still atomic breath
Difference is that axe will absorb charge faster and might Explorer without an impact like it did in gvk

It technically blocked Shimo's Frost Bite Blast. Didn't do shit to protect him.
Jokes aside, I would suspect it can, but it'll also be overloaded with energy so fast that chances are it'll just blow up in his face and end up having the same effect as just taking the blast unprotected.
•
u/TheGMan-123 Methuselah 19h ago
Actually yes.
This was done in Kong x Godzilla: The Ride, used to stop Shimo fully, and we know that the creators of the attraction had direct oversight to keep it interconnected with the wider Monsterverse.
It also simply makes intuitive sense. If Godzilla was able to absorb all that energy himself in his base form to trigger a mutation, then of course a backspine axe made of his fellow kind would be able to do the same minus the mutation part.
His pink Atomic Breath doesn't have the feats to suggest it's really that much stronger at all than the normal version; it mostly just does the same things, but pink.
•
u/User2EletricBoogaloo 19h ago
I think Kong’s issue would whether he can withstand the pressure. The first time Kong used the axe to block Godzilla’s Atomic Breath, he was struggle to stand his ground and was being pushed back. When Kong used it to block Shimo’s Frost Bite Blast, the ice still got to his hand. Evolved Godzilla’s Atomic Breath would be much more powerful and that much more difficult for Kong to withstand.
•
u/Cfakatsuki17 19h ago
One would think that because Godzilla had to evolve to use the power he has that the spine on Kong’s axe wouldn’t be able to hold the charge necessary to block the shot but according to the new monsterverse ride it apparently can -shrug- now one can debate all day whether that’s canon or not but in the absence of other canon evidence we can only go based on what’s present to us
•
u/HMHellfireBrB 20h ago
given how evo and goji seen to work no, the axe would either explode or go into burning mode killing kong in the process
however GxK the ride contradicts that showcasing that the axe can indeed block it
however the ride is most likelly non-canon and the axe being able to do that is the LEAST nonsensical thing in it

Id imagine since godzilla had to evolve to be able to as charged up as he was then the axe can only hold so much before breaking since it can't go off and evolve
•
u/Dan45613 16h ago
Before the ride leaks I would say no but according to the leaked ride Videos I guess yes
•
•
•
u/SweatyEddie123 7h ago
It’s already been confirmed it can absorb evolved atomic breath and Kong used it to knock out shimo
