Comics Telepath and animals?

Post image

So I’ve only saw the cartoons and movies and I never saw telepath interact with animals. Can they all do it or is it only certain ones? If so, why don’t they do it more animals could come in handy and a lot of their situations.

Idk but I do know that if Emma Frost tells me to sit i sit

Well, Lockjaw understands English just fine, and Cosmo is also a high level telepath. He could command her to sit, just as easily.

In Dark Reign: X-Men, Emma takes control of a pack of police dogs and understands them and talks to them. We don't see them talk back, so it might be more she understands and influences rather than strikly communication.

Yep, telepathy works on all sentient beings. Jean Grey explicitly states dogs, dolphins, and ravens.

Animals probably think in pictures.

I suspect a normal animals you can't read their mind(it fill of basic needs hungry or play) and they cant understand language. If they are trained saying command is same speak it telepathy.

I guess a telepathy could mental control an animal.

I think it sort of implied that why peter were immune to jean grey was because his spider aspect make most of his DNA, so I assume at least arachnid or even bugs are harder to control, considering the X-men has occasional problems with the brood.

Far back with fork on his head is lockjaw from inhumans, one in space suit is cosmo, dunno the closest one,

Small one is obviously martha from martha speaks /s

Bats (ghost dog) also speaks fluent English. I assume the larger one next to Cosmo is Lucky (aka Pizza Dog), who is just a normal dog.

Ngl didn’t even notice bats there til you mentioned him

I would assume animals think in animal language and people probably wouldn't understand them, things like horses, dogs, birds, etc already understand human language so they probably hear telepathic speaking the same as physical speech.

A hyena can understand a growl but they can't understand "stop"

Is Lockjaw still not a dog but a severely mutated & malformed dog-looking human? Or did we all agree that was weird & don’t talk about it?

Peter David took that out as soon as he was able to in X-Factor, having Quicksilver say it was a prank they'd played on the Thing, because it would be...well..inhuman...to treat him as a dog if he was an actual person.
