Maybe it's because I'm from North Carolina, but I found Bill Maher's strenuous defense of Rep. Chuck Edwards from harassment complaints to be too much. Yes, the congressman didn't rub his crotch against his female staffers or grope them, but his extravagant gifts and adoring praise made them uncomfortable. Yes, woke and #metoo can go to far sometimes, but Chuck Edwards is not a person I would go to bat for.

Every episode for the past year had something to do with Israel (oct 7, hamas, campus protest) or COVID (lockdown, vaccine). Even shows that started with no mention of those two topics would eventually reach the same topics. I really don't have to know for the nth time what does Bill Maher have to say on two topics.

Can we get new things to talk about? It has become so stale to watch.

I say this with all love for Dolly Parton. As I know she’d find this funny.
