Do they make the room bright enough that it's not dark dark even if it's still dark or is it like this room?

I think ambiance is the word I'm looking for.

I have one in my room and it makes my room bright enough that it’s not dark even though it is still dark. I love it. No regerts.

It brightens the room more or less depending on which slide we use, the ones of planets brighten it more and the ones that are just stars or a black hole or something aren’t quite as bright (the projection is bright but the don’t make the room as bright, if that makes sense). We set ours on a timer so it goes out after a bit since we like to sleep in the dark
