This is wonderful to see, but I hate that we're having to celebrate things like this.

Sadly, mentioning gun control in America, makes a large portion of them screech, and wave their rifles around.

It's hard getting sensible about sensible laws, with a country who glorifies guns.

It's not a gun problem, its a mental health problem. If people could get the actual they need shit like that wouldn't happen.

America has over 44,000 gun deaths per year. Canada, for example, has about about 800 total firearm deaths per year.

It's fairly clearly a gun control problem.

Doesn’t work. Bad guys will always find a way to get their hand on a gun. Most of them have “good” friends who provides them with weapon even. So no stricter gun laws ain’t gonna do shlt.

Look at literally any other country in the world. This is specifically a US problem, because of ac poorly worded 200 year old declaration. It's easily fixed, it just needs political and public support

One hundred percent with you. It's a terrible dark thing we need to do so much more about, but at least this instance ended with some happiness.

I still want action, but I'm glad this guy was a badass.

I can only imagine how electric the air feels for the guy, based on his smile alone. I'm be beyond jazzed that it ended as well as it did, so I can't imagine how overjoyed he is.

I wouldn't call this combat training. This guys instinct to protect his kids kicked in and he remembered his days in whatever sport he took when he was their age. The attacker could have had a kitchen knife and his reaction would have been the same.

Right?! I was scrolling to see if this post made anyone else just incredibly sad. What post apocalyptic hell are we living in that we celebrate kids not getting shot to d**th just for going to sch**l (/s, for the stupid asterisks in the caption).

Not that I’m not grateful this guy was there and did something but the whole reason he had to endanger his own life in the first place is just ridiculous.

Boy, it's been a long time since I've read that book! The one thing I remember is how the programming from birth was to make you feel better by being grateful that you weren't someone else.

So true. Once I realised it wasn’t about a “shitter” I was quite sad that this happened at all. School shooter? Dam heartbreaking
