MMJ Politics A coalition of marijuana legalization activists gathered outside DEA headquarters on Monday, criticizing the fact that no supporters of reform were invited to participate and that the proceedings are not being livestreamed despite officials’ vows of “transparency.”

People seem not to get that the DEA law judge is defending Schedule III, not Schedule I. The opponents testifying say they're 'harmed' by it, but instead, all they get to do is give glorified speeches that will not land, won't make the media, and will just end up in their own press releases. They'll collectively all be sent home packing after speaking, and get Schedule III regardless. The HHS and FDA have already ruled; this is just a dog-and-pony show. The people testifying are doing so solely for their fundraising efforts; they will have zero effect on the final outcome of the process.
