Question Megathread Questions | Help | Advice – All questions, big or small, asked and answered in this weekly thread.

As the original underground railway, the Tube has no doubt influenced many other metros in the world.

It is also well known, at least amongst enthusiasts, that Charles Yerkes from Chicago also heavily influenced the Tube. Examples include the preference for third/fourth rail electrification and Americanisms such as 'signal cabin' over 'signal box' and 'car' over 'carriage'.

Is there any other metro which has heavily influenced the Tube?

Budapest was electric from the start, which influenced London to go electric. Apart from that, probably just some styling of stations.
