Because that's the time allowed to turn current back on if nobody contacts the controller with a reason they've turned it off, such as person on the track

The central line’s not getting new trains anytime soon, some of them have only been refurbished though

It’s the oldest metro system in the world. There’s certainly a lot that TfL can do to make it better right now but don’t expect the entire system to run like clockwork unless TfL gets infinite funding.

That's the issue. It's old af, and instead of putting money into the central or bakerloo line...tfl decided to buy new trains for Piccadilly trains...make it make sense (nothing in this country makes sense anymore)

picc is running 73ts, while the bloo is running 72ts, and the central 92ts… the picc runs much older trains than the central and i heard somewhere that the bloo is getting the 24ts like the picc is

The Bakerloo is the next to get new trains, and the central line trains are being refurbished though they should eventually be replaced within the next 10-15 years I’d say

Looks like there was about a 9 minute stoppage on the westbound? It does explain why the tunnel lights were on! I’ve just left Holborn uneventfully on the eastbound.
