did u barely move here from the midwest

u/NoGrocery4949 3d ago

I'm born and raised and have never seen this

u/No-Examination7560 2d ago

yes, well the midwesterners have ruined most of orange county, the bay area and parts of LA to sanitize it, it was actually very laid back and conservative in the 70's to 00's, now the real california culture of off roading, being conservative, laid back, doing outdoor sports is pushed to the inland empire, while the rich east coasters took over the cities. Your parents are probably the east-coasters or asian and avoid that type of stuff as it is "unbecoming" to be near latinos. I remember in the 90's in orange county, where i grew up you would even see the odd horse walking through town with a latino handling it. My graduating class had only 2 asian people in 2006 and most people were from cali, or latinos. It was a different vibe back then, now ruined.

When California Latinos think they are coded and this shit is everyday, every city in Texas

u/ElCienPorCiento 6d ago

Texas is too big to have little man syndrome.

u/ShyGuySkino 6d ago

Tell that to cowboy fans. lol.

u/ElCienPorCiento 6d ago

don’t clown them. they’re going all the way this year like every year.

u/Massive-Lime7193 3d ago

The entire state of Texas has little man syndrome lol

u/_gloriousdead222 6d ago

Wow didn’t know only Texas is allowed to do this

u/Huitlacochilacayota 6d ago

I’m from California and if I were to guess who or where people do this would be Texas lol California is so diverse from beach bros to rancheros to desert and montañeros

u/manored78 5d ago

Texas is diverse too.

u/soupseasonbestseason 6d ago

hey guys, no fighting.

what if latinos have a long history with vaquero culture that not only crosses state lines but also international borders?

u/HigherPrimate666 6d ago

Logic has no place when Californians and Texans are busy claiming superiority

u/Sarcastic_Chancla Cipota 6d ago

For real, ranch properties exist in all 50 states

u/Helpful_Teaching_470 Pocho 6d ago

No In and Out in Texas bro.

Texas has multiple In-N-Out locations.

They're predominantly in San Antonio and the DFW metro area.

Arizona as well in both Phoenix and Tuscon.

They're planning on expanding to the east coast, especially after they opened an east coast HQ in Tennessee.

u/Helpful_Teaching_470 Pocho 6d ago

Thanks for clarifying that hermano. I didn’t know. Been to Houston several times and never saw any. My bad. 🤜🏽🤛🏽
In-N-Out is definitely better though 😆 👌

u/idkalan Azucar! 6d ago

From what I remember reading, the reason they opened in those areas is because they're specifically choosing locations where Californians are moving to due to companies from CA moving to those areas.

u/LtDansLeggies 6d ago

There’s a lot of in and out in Tx…

u/ferfuckinnand05 Fierro pariente 6d ago

In N Out is a California staple. Don't forget the lowrider scene. Texas is the"pick me" ass state of the US 😂

u/LtDansLeggies 6d ago

I mean I don’t care which you consider better as I don’t live in the us since I was a teenager. I just thought he should know that in and out is in Texas since he said it wasn’t

u/soupseasonbestseason 6d ago

claiming california is the only place where chicanos ride in lowriders is WILD.

the entire southwest exists and celebrates our culture. no one has a monopoly on it.

u/ferfuckinnand05 Fierro pariente 6d ago

Once again, it’s a California staple. Commonly known for the birthplace of lowriding. Don’t recall saying it doesn’t exist anywhere else. So In n out, lowriding, and horses could easily identify as California coded. You guys are failing to understand the caption without an argument and it’s sad.

u/soupseasonbestseason 6d ago

https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Lowrider

https://www.roadandtrack.com/car-culture/a35782507/this-small-new-mexico-town-is-the-lowrider-capital-of-the-world/

multiple places claim that they are the birthplace of lowriding. it is also a staple all over texas and new mexico. you are failing to understand that no chicano place has a monopoly on our culture.

u/Tukulo-Meyama 6d ago

Na bro lowriders were invented in east Los Angeles .. New Mexico just has more lowriders that’s it

u/ferfuckinnand05 Fierro pariente 6d ago

Everyone in the comments saying this is such and such area. From Northern, Central, to Southern California only proving that OP's caption is on point. Lol

u/Unhappy_Capital_917 6d ago

u/GoGoGyroZeppeli 6d ago

Thought this was Texas before reading the title.

u/HoneydewImpossible51 6d ago

Highest property taxes

u/crusty_sloth 6d ago

laughs in sunshine and in amazing weather year round

u/chocotaco 6d ago

Than who? California isn't the top. Even Texans pay more in taxes with their lower priced homes.

u/n-ctrnl666 6d ago

go live in texas then and enjoy when your electric grid freezes or melts because of bad infrastructure

u/pokemart 6d ago

That’s Texas buddy and it comes with a broken electrical grid that shuts out during winter storms.
