Would Fracture be easier to play on a Warr guitar?
I'm just curious. I've heard that it is hard because of the picking patterns.
I wonder whether touch makes paying it easier or harder.

It’s Only Talk: Adrian Belew previews BEAT’s return to Rochester
MNOD: I thought it was cool that you guys included Red in the set the last time around. Is that something you’re going to leave in or is that going to be one that gets cut this time around?
Belew: I think that one’s going to take a break for us. I hate to say that, but you have to get rid of something. I have played that song thousands of times in my life, so maybe it’s just a break for me and Tony because we play that song every year at our camp and that’s 14 years right there. It’s such a great piece. I do really love the power aspect of it, and maybe we’ll see, but I’ve got something special I want to do in the place where it resides, which is the first song of the encore.
more here...

Wer findet der The Talking Drum auch so unfassbar gut und unterbewertet. Ich glaube es ist mein Lieblings Instrumentalstück von King crimson.
Wetton and Bruford absolut genial (Fripp natürlich auch)

I was revisiting Trey Gunn's Third Star album (one of my all time favs - especially the three vocal pieces) and tried to track down more about Serpentine but got nowhere. Love that performance. Anyone have any idea of who she is or what else she's done? I saw his band around when it came out at The Birchmere. He was on so many great albums at that time - Sunday All Over the World, Sylvian and Fripp, Toyah's Ophelia's Shadow, 90's KC and his trio of albums.

I love Frame by Frame as much as the next guy but I can't help but notice absolutely horrendous Belew's guitar tone. It's so awfully squeaky and treble-y (and noticeably inferior to Fripp's sound) that it almost ruins the song for me

Hello, I recently bought a used copy of the red 50th anniversary set since I bought the in the court set and plan to get the larks set. I think as a general fan and collector I enjoyed the red set because instead of the complete sessions they focused on live material including the USA complete show. Though I was kind of disappointed since basically all the bonus shows are in terrible quality. But that’s not what I’m here to talk about. When I got it I noticed that the printing quality seemed a lot worse than the in the court set, the text looks blurrier. Does anyone else see this? I’m wondering if I bought a fake since I did get for pretty cheap but I check all the discs and the menus seem to look right and it shows all the proper logos and the quality is amazing.

I was looking through the shows on their website and noticed a decent amount of unsold tickets. The “Blue Dot Fever” is becoming more common and we see shows and tours get cancelled frequently. Do you think there is a chance dates or the whole tour get altered?
I was expecting the recent tour announcement, but was honestly surprised by how soon it was and how many shows. The Europe tour had six months to promote- the new tour only has two since the announcement.
Do you think it’s ticket price, the lineup change (no Danny Carey), limited promotion time, or that fans are content just seeing the 2024 tour?
Really hoping the tour goes on as planned and more fans grab tickets soon!

Probably looks outsider (which he appears to be a fan of from time to time anyhow). Don't know why he has a microphone it was right there when I found the image.

I feel like. Listen im kinda new here my ex got me into KC and I remember trying to buy a vinyl for him for his birthday or something and that was Impossible unless I was willing to put my credit card into the sketchiest site in the world (Didn't seem to be affiliated with them). Of course they don't have a bandcamp, and I'd been informed that they didn't even Keep most of their music accessible online for the longest time. Do they hate their music being accessible ? LMFAO why is it like? Impossible to find & buy? But they'll sell the ugliest wraparound tee of their album cover ever...? Genuinely can someone explain to me like, What is the Point? Of making it more and more difficult to listen to your music unless i buy a limited press of a vinyl that you only sell in Europe of an album I don't want.....? Idk maybe i just dont get it but it seems silly to me...
Edit: LOL i found the DGM site before </3 the problem is it doesn't seem to have the albums I want + I can't buy them if i'm not in europe <//3 so i suppose the answer is, if you're an american that wants their most popular album, No?
edit2: found what i was looking for, thank you :] i just wanted to be able to legally buy digital files of this album

Found out King Crimson through JoJo and as a zoomer (i think, idk how these terms work) i wanted to check them out as i loved Rainbow and DIO. I tried listening to The Court Of The Crimson King, Epitaph, 21st Century Schizoid Man and Moonchild and i had...mixed results. More so cause i wasn't understanding much of what the songs were about, for example:
Moonchild has lyrics for a while and they're really good, but suddenly the singer stops and it just remains as an instrumental for the rest of the music, and
21st Century Schizoid Man starts in an awesome way, especially when the singer comes in and makes it all just feel...idk, heavy, brutal, stuff like that. And then...it stops being that and starts something that feels like it comes from a parade or something, just feels...idk, weird, like you mixed two styles together and they don't match
Court of Crimson King is awesome tho, only complaint is that it feels too long, right by the 6 something minutes it feels like it should have ended, but that's about it
Epitaph feels great tho, no complaints
I did also just listen to Fallen Angel and loved it tho, no complaints, so i feel like i'm just missing something since this band feel very much in my alley. Can you guys help me out? I'm not that into music btw, probably below casual as i just started to listen to music on my own on my 20s so i again just feel that i missed something with Moonchild and 21st Century Schizoid man lmao

I've liked Court of the Crimson King for a while, and recently checked out the whole discography and loved it. Any recommendations on artists to listen to next time? I love the massive orchestration changing & changing time signatures. I initially got into King Crimson because I loved Black Midi

“I had reasons for every drummer that I called, and I called quite a few very famous drummers. Stewart Copeland, for one. He was really excited about it, but he did have two engagements he could not get out of. He spent the next day trying to."

I mean specifically the ones you hear on TPTB 2, a few 2000s improvs, and Radcrim's Banshee Bell Hassle. Is there a specific origin of the bells? I really want to make music using them

I'm joking but maybe not. Fripp doesn't seem up to touring and Markus has had more than enough time in the stew of Stick Men and TU-Ner.
I honestly would have preferred him in BEAT.
