Question A very particular help request here !
Yes !!
First of all, I am a Japanese Horror movies fan too, so don't worry about that topic here, I will show some of my videos here soon...
However, since there are fans who may have their own Japanese movies in DVD/Blu-rays (may be Japanese editions or American ones) I need a help to understand a weird situation: I have a Panasonic BlueRay, region-free with a very cool video accelerator that improves the video resolution to DVDs in the best way possible, and personally, I'm so happy. As an example, I have the EKO EKO AZARAK DVDs, and I like how they looks in that player.
If need more info, I can leave the link here: Panasonic Blu-ray Player
I purchased it past March and until now it's working so great... I've been buying some DVDs and Blu-rays. (the last purchase was TOMIE: Rebirth)
However.. the situation I wanna share: I ordered the Sukeban Deka DVD (the one from the image), first I ordered a sealed one, so good price. As soon as it arrived, I opened and played... everything good... but... it froze at certain scene. Then seconds later, the player turned off. I had to turn it on and play it again... and froze by the second time at the same scene... then the player turned off... So I decided to message the seller, but he did not accept returns... I had to do a bad review and open a dispute, it made him to step back and do a refund. I wanted to wait some days and I ordered the same title again, but at that time I decided for a used one, just because of the simple reason: if used, the seller played it at least once, so knows that can watch the movie. Ok.. after weeks waiting, it arrived and I started to play it and watch all the movie... suddenly got frozen... IN THE SAME SCENE !. I thought I made a confusion and I played the new one, so I had to play the other disc.... again "same scene freeze"
I just find out that the new DVD may be in good condition and I made a bad treat to the first seller.. I fell bad for him.. damn..
Anyway, the point is: why that Panasonic player cannot play that disc? The same title, but one new and the other used and freeze in the EXACT scene. Or is the DVD non-compatible with that player?
I wrote to the distributor and I'm waiting for the reply, but I wanted to know if someone here may have this player and knows that movie and can explain what's going on... PLEASE !!
