What's with the 3 foreigners rule? IFL is India's 2nd division and not a developmental league ffs, just run it like a proper league. And if AIFF is so serious about giving game time to Indian players give the clubs who genuinely develop and give game time to youngsters some sort of tangible incentives.

Exactly, there are no incentives for the Indian players in the IFL. the best performing players don’t even get called up for a trial in the national team camp.

Disagree. The IFL certianly should be the place where more Indian talent can play. Even when you compare the Premier Leaague and Championship, the Championship has more domestic players

The only place where this would cause an issue is cup games, where ISL sides would have an advantage with 4 foreigners. Make a rule to limit regsitration to just 3 foreigners in the squad. And anyway, the cup games are useless, they dont have a continental spot.

One thing I do agree is, AIFF and Khalid Jamil should not just pick ISL players, they should at least call good IFL players to the camp and then select final squad on merit. Pick U23 and U20 players also from IFL who are performing well.
