A section of the Ram Van Gaman Marg in Prayagraj reportedly sank during heavy rains before its inauguration. The project is part of the ₹4,400 crore infrastructure plan connecting important sites associated with Lord Ram’s exile.
UP Deputy CM Keshav Maurya reportedly said: “सड़क बनेगी तो धँसेगी, धँसेगी तो बनेगी”, calling such damage normal during extreme weather, while promising an investigation into quality issues and action against those responsible.
Congress leader Supriya Shrinate shared the video to criticize the road’s quality and alleged that repeated construction could enable corruption.
Question: If a ₹4,400 crore road fails before inauguration, who should be held accountable the contractor, officials, or both?
