I get .0125m, I have tried that .013, -.013, .5, -.5, 4.813 so far as answers. the hint given for the question is What is the distance y_cp on the line of action below the centroid?

If two circles are orthogonal, then prove that the polar of point P on the first circle with respect to the second circle passes through the point Q, which is the other end of diameter through P. Also prove that locus of a point, which moves such that its polars with respect to S1=0, S2=0, and S3=0 are concurrent, is a circle which is orthogonal to all the three circles.

I am not able to understand what exactly I even have to prove. Even the equations of the circles are not given. From what I understood, I think for the first part both circles are intersecting, P and Q lie on the first circle and are end points of the diameter of that circle.

So for geography, our teacher explicitly gave us the rule: "Don't color Alaska blue, blue is ONLY for water!"
Because Alaska wasn't even pre-drawn on the map printout, my brain completely glossed over the warning. I ended up coloring the entire water area blue before realizing I was supposed to draw Alaska in first. So now Alaska is literally underwater. 💀
I’m currently stuck on a road trip and won't be home for a few days to fix it. Luckily I didn't press down super hard with my Crayola colored pencils, but I’m still stressing.

It's my first year in college, and I'm in a program (Political Science) that has courses that contain reading academic texts, and as a student whose attention span has regressed, it's been a struggle to keep myself focused. I couldn't find the structure or the ideas of the texts that I'm reading, leading to why I couldn't digest them properly. I've tried writing notes while reading at the same time, yet I tend to overanalyze every single paragraph when the given pages for our readings are 30-100, which loses so much time on my part.

I want to learn your tips or tricks that helped you maintain your focus and be able to dissect the main ideas and have them interpreted in your own words really quickly.

I'm stuck on part B of this problem and would love any insights that could help point me in the right direction. I know that I should be using the law of total probability, which from my understanding (I double checked with my textbook) allows me to just add all of the intersections of the conditional probabilities however when you add them (.5+.4+.6) you get a number greater than one which can't be the answer as probabilities are between 0 and 1. It feels to me like I'm missing something obvious but I can't put my finger on it. Any help is much appreciated!

I’m learning physics on my own and I’m currently working through a physics problem book. I came across this problem and I can’t understand the reasoning behind the solution.

The problem:

During a survival training exercise, a 60 kg boy at some point hangs motionless from a rope as shown in the picture below. Assume that β = 2α and g = 10 m/s². Calculate the tension in the rope at points A and B.

The rope is attached at points A and B and forms the two sloping sides of a right triangle. The boy is hanging from the rope at the vertex between these two sides, which is the 90° angle. The angle at point A is α, and the angle at point B is β.

I found a solution which calculates the boy’s weight first and then seems to use the components of that force to determine the rope tensions. However, I don’t understand why sine is used here.

When I try to draw auxiliary right triangles, I don’t know where the given angle should be located in the triangle or which side of the triangle should correspond to the rope tension. I understand how to calculate sine in a right triangle, but I don’t understand how to correctly construct the triangle from this diagram and connect it to the forces.

I would really appreciate it if someone could explain why sine is used in this particular problem and how the force triangle should be constructed, preferably step by step.

I’d also be interested in seeing other possible ways of solving the problem, if there are any.

I’m not just looking for the final answer I’m trying to understand the method so I can solve similar problems myself.

Hi! I've been stuck on this problem for a while now, so I decided to text it out on another app and finally ask for help. I managed to find the magnitude on my own, but I honestly can't figure out how to find the direction, or what I'm doing wrong. I've watched several videos on it and have tried to go step by step, but any answer I try is marked wrong, (I do use an online school program.)
