Kendrick when he doin an event for Gucci
•
u/AutoModerator Jun 02 '26
Me shitting my pants and turning them inside out but still wearing them > piāerres fits. To cut him some slack though he dresses the same as many other rappers with shitty fits who think they have drip. The saddest part is that lots of guys see their shitty fits and think itās sauce because they have gucci trackpants. Matching yellow jordans to your yellow hoodie with a pair of skinny jeans is absolutely not drip, my guy

Honestly, heās got energy, heās got charisma. Good for him. But damn if that Riley reference aināt the most spot on shit.
•
u/meatbrick Jun 02 '26
And he's actually rapping. There's a backing track but you can tell when he's actually on the mic.
I mean...can I borrow a fry?
•
u/BilboBaginsehs Jun 03 '26
Exactly what I thought - at least the kid is actually rapping and giving energy to the crowd
•
•
u/MediocreDesigner88 Jun 03 '26
Youāre wrong about this though. I donāt think thatās really his voice live. Live performers will prerecord a live vocal track (what youāre hearing), so it doesnāt sound like the album, and then blend in a small percentage of their live microphone. So itās not his live voice youāre hearing at all in this video. Itās unfortunate.
•
u/Eighty_88_Eight Jun 03 '26
Bruh cmon it stops when he starts jumping around and starts when he puts the mic back to his mouth, and heās not even saying the words properly because heās jumping around and breathing heavy, donāt be dumb.
•
u/MediocreDesigner88 Jun 03 '26
I think youāre wrong and I think this is common practice in live performances now.
•
•
u/smileinursleep Jun 03 '26
Bro you think he gives af about faking his voice. I've seen rappers do this same shit.
•
u/MediocreDesigner88 Jun 03 '26
āIāve seen rappers do this same shit.ā Yeah, itās becoming common. I didnāt say he should āgive af about faking his voice,ā when I said that itās unfortunate I meant I prefer to just hear a live vocalist at a live show instead of hearing the backing tracks. I want to fully hear the live microphone of the person on stage even if it sounds bad. And I also resent that artists we pay to see live in concert are secretive about their microphones. Thatās my opinion.
•
u/MoneyManx10 Jun 02 '26
Lowkey, I was suprised at how good his stage presence is.
•
u/Jbrown183 Jun 02 '26
Yeah dude is better than a lot of these rolling loud performancesā¦watch 2Slimey smh
•
u/thatG_evanP Jun 03 '26
I made a comment saying that this was sadly one of the best performances I've seen from Rolling Loud
•
•
•
u/ItWasAcid_IHope Jun 02 '26
Yeah this is actually one of the more coherent performances I've seen from rolling loud.
•
•
u/Banana_wax_Salad Jun 02 '26
I was thinking⦠give him 10 years. If he sticks with it genuinely he could actually be a menace in the game.
•
u/Sad_Panda8544 Jun 02 '26
he shoulda kept that ai comment to himself now i cant unhear it
•
u/justatoaster0 Jun 02 '26
/uj lmao itās literally the first thing I think of whenever I hear about him.
/rj I use AI for my school papers so what if a rapper uses AI too, thatās what I like to call ābeing down with the cultureā.
•
u/aqueleponeirosa Jun 02 '26
/uj again: lots of AI problems are symptons of capitalism crumbling and not AI itself, theres lots of articles and studies that show that China for example the population as a whole have a waaaayyy more positive view on AI because it serves to beter life for the people and not the elite
•
u/Hot-Strength-6003 Jun 02 '26
I also saw an article that talked about how the US is building good AI but nobody knows how to use it so it's just being implemented willy nilly
•
u/aqueleponeirosa Jun 02 '26
There's no good AI under capitalism unfortunately, while China is building their data centers in the ocean, every other country is poisoning lots of their cities with their data centers just to make some billionaire loads and loads of cash while we laugh at tung tung sahur and shit like that
•
u/Hot-Strength-6003 Jun 02 '26
By good ai meant capable of stimulating technological growth and potential. The way it is being used is the issue because as you said, they are looking at it aas a cost cutter and a profit maker rather than a tool to be implemented. There are obviously sectors who are applying it correctly but the majority are just throwing poo at the wall
•
•
u/SwordfishOk504 I am weed. Jun 02 '26
Bro you can't say "UJ" and then proceed to drop the biggest jerk ever.
•
u/fingershanks Jun 02 '26
Is he stuck like this? I swear he should look a little bit older by now. Maybe he really is a cartoon and can't age.
•
u/lanadelbladee Jun 03 '26
he like 17-18 now, those who are destined to be short for life wonāt grow too much, that + the baby face will keep him looking quite young for a good portion of his life.
•
•
•
u/Select_Speed_6061 Jun 02 '26
He actually put on a good show.
•
u/satanssweatycheeks Jun 02 '26
This is why rap has fallen and isnāt number 1 anymore.
This kid is rapping over his lyrics. Thatās already sucker shit and lazy ass performing. Any other genre weād call that some Ashley Simpson shit. If you are young look her up on SNL.
This isnāt good. This isnāt a hell of a performance. Itās why I respect artist like jpegmafia for example who calls out rappers for doing this when he would never do that corny ass shit.
There is a reason the best hiphop shows I have been to are people who donāt just half ass rap over their vocals. I saw OutKast on their last tour in 2014. Shit was amazing. Killer Mike performed that same festival. Also killed it. No background vocals just them having confidence in their own rap skills.
•
u/Select_Speed_6061 Jun 03 '26
Not finna reply to all that shit. But alot of rappers do that. I'm 40 bro I know who Ashlee Simpson. I clicked thru all the rappers sets at RL and he was one of the best performers there in a ocean of trash and they all did that (rapping over vocals). The type of artists from my generation aren't gonna happen again. They just built different. Out of the options I saw at RL he put on a good show overall. And Jpegmafia sucks.

Why are the MP3 vocals louder than his microphone? Isn't the point of a rap festival to hear people rap? I'm guessing the raw vocals sound terrible, but at least he's kinda doing a rap performance and not just jumping around and screaming.
•
•
u/NotAllDawgsGoToHeven Jun 03 '26
Iām surprised, of all the worthless no name talent there was at rolling loud this year Iām surprised this lil jits music aināt trash.
•
u/pandershrek Jun 02 '26
Apparently I hate current hip-hop because this looks like straight up hell.
•
•
u/Wonderful-Crazy1910 Jun 02 '26
I mean, at least hes actually performing instead of just dancing around and ad-libbing
•
u/tone_creature Jun 02 '26
I made way shittier music when I was 17 to be fair haha. No way I was commanding a crowd either.
•
•
u/Ryno-Mac Jun 02 '26
He's actually pretty good compared to all the shit performance videos I've seen lately
•
u/Low-Register1602 Jun 02 '26
They really just let anyone on stage now?
•
u/Large_Complaint1264 Jun 02 '26
Idk who this is but just based on this he actually seems like a good performer. Some of yāall just hate to hate.
•
u/Direct-Resolution377 Jun 03 '26
No. just because someone doesn't rate at all what you rate, doesn't mean they are hating.Ā It does mean you're being insecure thoughĀ
•
u/cerote6239 Jun 02 '26
Why not? I could rap over a backing track
•
u/WheelchairEpidemic Jun 02 '26
Oh Iām sure youād kill it bro lmao
•
u/cerote6239 Jun 02 '26
Have you seen the other performances at rolling loud? Holy s***. They didn't have working monitors. It sounded like shit. Most of these rappers are a joke live anyways. You never been to a show? Screaching out of breath over their recorded music.
•
u/Large_Complaint1264 Jun 02 '26 edited Jun 03 '26
Donāt think you appreciate the breath control it takes to do this live.

Fuck all these gun toting hip gangster wannabes.
•
u/SnapGoesTheShutter Jun 02 '26
Its the best, what's wrong with little Brian having a street takeover and slanging coke in the burbs? Learn to love it cuz the powers at be are SLAMMING it down the youths throats. Best way to produce slaves for the prison system, its been this way for decades.

This was lit. But... Showing my age... If Lil Wayne couldn't cuss til he was 18, I feel some type of way.
Keep that same energy for all the youngins

Itās funny when 70 pounds of rappers says theyāre gonna disrespect you and itās just like all right and then what Iām gonna fucking huff and puff and blow you down cause you fucking way less than a paperweight. I swear people fucking give their money to just about anyone. This guy is fucking trash.
•
u/DontPause-PressPlay Jun 03 '26
Mad nobody will give you money?
•
u/420-BiomedStockDoc Jun 03 '26
What ? That makes no sense. I just grew up when rap was way better. What we got now is Garbo
•
u/DontPause-PressPlay Jun 03 '26
Lol no you dont make cents
You just seem jaded.
•
u/420-BiomedStockDoc Jun 03 '26
lol cool story bro. this is still garbage music and this twig aināt disrespecting anyone he just saying shit. Like a moron these YNs are something else.
•
u/Large_Complaint1264 Jun 02 '26
This actually looks likes it was a good set. Prolly better than most of the sets at rolling loud.
•
•
u/Deviant-Oreo Jun 02 '26
At least he's rapping his bars instead of letting the track play. He's got presence for sure.
•
u/BandicootLeather6314 Jun 02 '26
Why are there kids preforming at rolling loud? Am I just old af now?
•
u/DontPause-PressPlay Jun 03 '26
For reference the term Bling Bling was coined by a 16 year old
Kids have always been in the rap game
•
u/BandicootLeather6314 Jun 03 '26
I understand, and thatās a valid point. My position is pointed toward the venues in which they perform. Kinda like if 13 y/o Justin Bieber performed at the playboy mansion. Some places may be more adult oriented.
