I want an album to be a full statement, or vibe, or something. That's been tried and true for like 60+ years now. There's a reason we do it that way.

Those beats have producers so those kinds of albums fall into the second category. Believe it or not beats don't grow on beat trees and fall to youtube when ripe.

he kinda lost wit da wording but he i think what he means is most of the greatest rap albums ever like MBDTF, IGOR, TPAB all have a single executive producer or have multiple, has a unified vision, and has that tailor made experience instead of a bunch of type beats from YT

I think even with type beats you just need a proper ear and sequencing and they can transition into each other to a point especially if you use the Same 4 prods and it's like a 15 track album 3 for this style 3 for the next 3 for that prod and 3 for the closing tracks and if your a real artist you can make the end of your album feel cinematic and give the listener closer if you made 15 bangers no direct or subject matter of course you'll feel unfulfilled after listening I hate hearing modern albums where they'll have hype tracks till the end or a dramatic change in theme and then another banger

I mean, he's just saying rather than collecting a bunch of individual beats from random producers, the producer is 1 guy who has a vision for what the album is supposed to be and sound like. Otherwise they just got a bunch of songs slapped together thatre all kinda mixed and mastered differently l and is a jarring experience.

Group of Producers : Future - I never liked you (Atl Jacob, Southside, Wheezy)
Artist themselves as producer : Tyler the creator - Igor
Remaining type could be like Life of Pablo with random producers and vision

What's wrong with his music today isn't the production listen to back to me off of Vultures 1 it has one of the best beats I've heard in years but is ruined by Ye's "verse" not to mention his recent use of AI vocals completely ruining albums with good prod and making them unlistenable.
