I'm experimenting with turning elements of Bengali Puja culture into physical 3D objects — pandals, committee logos, awards and small souvenirs. This is one of my first attempts at translating that visual language into 3D.

Sharing my latest digitized embroidery artwork of Bal Krishna in his playful dancing posture (Makhan Chor / Natkhat Laddu Gopal).

I’ve spent years working on intricate embroidery digitization, but creating sacred artwork like this always holds a special place in my heart. The goal was to capture the joy, grace, and divine charm of Krishna—from the vibrant peacock feather (Mor Pankh) to the detailed shading on his dhoti, ornaments, and expressions.

• Highlights: Multi-layered stitch densities, satin stitch highlights on jewelry, and careful fill direction to bring depth to his playful posture.

Presenting my artwork, Updesh. Based on Krishna-Arjun during the war when Krishna endows Arjun with the ultimate wisdom.

This painting is inspired by Kalidasa’s Shakuntala. The king Dushyant forgets about his love for Shakuntala but when he hears a song he feels an ache but doesn’t know why. He then proclaims that “perhaps it is what survives of loves from other lives.” I took that quote and wanted to imagine how I would imagine that phrase. It is also the title of this piece.

The background is inspired by murals from ajanta. I wanted to create a sense of history and a great many lives lived. The central figure embodies the love carried through those many lifetimes.
