ANNOUNCEMENT Show-off Sunday!

Upvotes

Hi all!

Welcome to a new fortnightly post!

In this post's comments, please feel free to upload your examples of your hallmarks which you find to be unusual, rare, or simply a piece of precious metal you want to show-off to the rest of us!

No judgement - maybe you're new to hallmarks or have collected for a long time, everyone is welcomed!

Please do not use this post to request hallmark identity! You can still post regular posts for that.

I reckon this is a revivalist piece from the 1970s, Birmingham Assay, but the maker/sponsor mark is unusual having two disconnected shields.

I need help identifying this makers mark. Appears to be a W with a large peak that is crossed horizontally with a line. Ring is stamped 10 K. Not tested yet but suspected to be 10 karat white gold with cherysoberyl gemstone. Heirloom item that belonged to my grandfather.

Found some hollow handled knives at goodwill, pretty sure the handles are silver because of the lion but the steel blade appears to be laser engraved. The Sheffield date mark looks like 1940 to me but that’s before laser engraving? Thanks for any info

JEWELRY & WATCHES Vintage Gucci Maybe?

Thumbnail

Upvotes

I bought a $4.99 tin from Savers today and this was inside of it. I believe it is a Gucci bracelet, but as the last two links from the other side have been removed it doesn’t have the proper identification. And from what my searching says it may predate 1968 as it doesn’t have the proper stamping.

Can anyone identify this hallmark?

I think that the maker is probably Martin Sugar. Date 1891. London, please correct me if I’m wrong.
What is eluding me is: what does the F mean? Any clues?

SERVINGWARE Help identifying the marks on this 8.5” pewter plate

Thumbnail

Upvotes

Hi everyone. I’m trying to accurately identify this pewter plate and, especially, the marks on it.
The plate measures approximately 8.5 inches in diameter and weighs 0.99 lb (about 449 g).

There is a worn central touchmark on the underside and a series of smaller individual marks/stamps around the rim. I’ve included close-up photos of both.

I’d really appreciate any help determining:
Who made it, if the maker can be identified
Country/city of origin
Approximate date or period
What the central touchmark represents
What the individual marks around the rim mean

I’m particularly interested in identifying it from the marks themselves rather than guessing from the general style.

I have several other pewter pieces that may or may not be related, but I’m intentionally starting with just this one so I can research each piece individually.

Thanks for any help or references you can point me toward.

SERVINGWARE Would appreciate some help identify these sugar tongs. Getting conflicting results in searching. 1. Leopard head (?), 2. Lion passant (British solid Stirling silver), 3. letter ‘u’, 4. profile of a head. On the other side ‘WE’ in a cartouche.
