Howdy everyone, just posting another few pictures of how the weed wagons have been doing.
Pleased to say things are going well, I did a large defoliation this weekend, a couple last minute branch adjustments, and kept the same weekly worm compost tea + kelp since my last post.
Have a good one, and good luck to all my outdoor gromies out there in these last few weeks before our trim jail sentences need to be served!

I moved a few mother plants outside before the sun came up and some kind of spider build this web in a matter of hours.
All the plants are clean, and this spider didn't appear to do any damage. It looked like a funnel spider web, but I never found the spider.

So ive done a few grows and most turn out really good even the low experience ones. Most of my grows ive harvested too early some so early ive lost out on bulk. Ive learned a lot. I know how to look for a harvest windows with milky and amber tricomes. Ive got to a point where I want to get a good rotation going to supply myself. Most of the plants ive grown recently put out great buds but they aren't so big. I know lighting does wonders but the lights I have ive seen them put out more on someone elses grow so im thinking my issue maybe nutes or soil. I use miracle grow soil and I use molasses and big buds nutes for feeding I need some good feed back I already want to switch to organic so I need a soil, a better light mines some 60 dollar 1000 watt led light from Amazon and some better nutes to use and some advice on how to tune in for some sizable buds

F1 TITAN AUTO.
this is my second attempt at that seed. First one ended in a dwarf plant which gave me around 10 grams yield. Disappointing to say the least

First grow ever and did it outdoors. Had to harvest 2 plants a little earlier due to caterpillar and bud rot. I cut and hung whole branches after washing and have kept my room dark and cool (between 60F-67F and 57-66% humidity with constant indirect airflow). I understand the dry cure stage to be the most crucial so I tried to take a more scientific approach and have been weighing 4 different samples from across the room. I plotted the data points on a graph and was planning on jarring once it leveled out, in the next days. I understand my data may be skewed due to hanging whole branches but this felt better than going off conventional vibes ( stem test) only. I have been shooting for about 75% water loss by weight but plan to calculate rough water activity from a jarred sample prior to jarring the lot. My question is, will this mild hay smell go away during curing? I dont think I dried anywhere near too fast or too hot. Only reason I'm stressing the dry time is i have a third plant that is definitely at peak but I have no room to dry until I can jar at least one of these.

Outdoor grow is One Love from Humboldt. Indoors is Carcosa from Yggdrasil and Blue Dream x Purple Punch by Calegacy. First time using the living soil bed inside.

I’m thinking it maybe Phosphorus deficiency?

I think it's always easier to add more than take something away.
The main thing that matters is you need to document how much water you are using and how often.
That's how you fix mistakes.

I’m at the age in my life where I care about my yard, getting good deals at the grocery store, and looking forward to shopping for new types of rocks for a rock garden haha.
I’ve always wanted to grow as a hobby and create wonderful strains that people would love to try. Also have some sort of killer set up that involves my freshwater fish tank feeding my plants and the plants keeping them healthy as well.
Blah blah blah blah, I could go on and on. But long story short, I’m really looking for a solid person to point me in the direction of basic indoor growing for dummies 101 and give me a tip or 2.
Growing has always fascinated me, and I just truly would love to be a part of this community and see how it all works. Thanks yall!

She was physically much larger than anything in my tent. As a result, the top buds foxtailed. The top buds were huge. There are four tops ranging from 14 - 25g each bud. The nose is pepper and spicy with a stinky undertone. The nose alone makes her a keeper as everything else I've grown has a sweet undertone.
However, the smoke is not spicy, it's herbal and something I can describe as blue. Very relaxing too.
Due to the yield and nose, I'll be preserving this genome. And seeing if I can isolate the nose and yield traits, while improving the bud structure.

The one plant really struggled from the month of smoke due to wild fires but it's coming back around.

I was doing some final trimming today before preparing for harvest and noticed a uniform layer or what looks like mold on the top layer. I use organic fertilizer(Gaia Green) and top dress. I did a quick google search and it’s coming back as safe to my plant but warning signs it’s overly damp and to scrape it off.
Is this true, or is this grow fried?

Sup!
So after checking the canopy over the last couple days I had decided to partially harvest this run. This was due to a couple things, one being the height of pheno #1 on the left was perfectly inline with the runtz spacing which resulted in that plant being closer to the light during almost all stages of flower. The other reason being im getting impatient, ran out of flower, and the plants got too big to allow an even enough rippening in a 2x4 in my opinion.
Here are a couple pictures from lights off last night pre partial harvest and then I'll also toss in a couple pictures from the harvest this morning and how the plants look now!
Stoked on these 2 girls, its great having seemingly both plants representing a major genetic in that strain. Pheno 1 is very much leaning toward the Black Runtz genetic with the spacing and heavier candy scent. The trichomes heads on pheno 1 are absolutely MASSIVE and if I were a washing guy I'd be really pushing to get this one processed. Pheno 2 is HEAVY thick colas with tight spacing which screams alot more to the GG4 side of the genetic and has this insane earthy gas smell but is also backed up by that same candy sweetness that creeps up on you. So far, great beans by Seedsman and I'm sort of kicking myself by not making a better effort to create room for clones of these when I should have.
Harvested a little of both and they are set to the VCURE craft dry which I have found works great but definitely be checking on them daily towards the end because some will finish alot quicker than others.
What's left on the plants will rip into the next hopefully 2 weeks and see if we cant chunk up some of them middle nugs and larfy stuff!

hey folks quick follow up to my biobizz post my 41f 5c winter stress test in the basement is starting and im sticking to the biobizz schedule for it as discussed
however my goal for the basement grow in march is a complete switch to living soil and mephisto genetics i want to leave the bottle mixing behind and build a self sustaining system
i recently cleaned up my plot at the community garden and checked an old half broken plastic compost bin its been sitting completely untouched for 4 years in a dark corner behind the shed right where i sometimes collect scrap for diy projects the material is extremely dark relatively thick in structure and looks like 90 percent pure soil in some spots theres a slight greenish white film shimmering mycelium but strangely enough absolutely zero weed growth i originally wanted to tear the thing down ages ago but the soil is there now can i use it or should i toss it
since the run doesnt start until march im using the time now to gather some upfront info because im an absolute beginner when it comes to soil biology
my biggest concern my tent runs thermodynamically extremely stable target climate a stoic 71 to 80f 22 to 27c at 55 to 66 percent rh can i even use such old compost soil as a base indoors or will i inevitably bring pests and problems into the house with those temperatures
ive read up a bit some people talk about baking or pasteurizing the soil but i lack the practical experience how would you approach this do i need to can i safely pre treat the material somehow and what amendments do i need to mix a functioning substrate out of this
grateful for any advice and prep help
ps. in the heat of the cleanup i completely forgot to take a direct picture of the soil itself the pictures above just show the garden vibe and the shed
