Damn thing sat on a shelf for 1 year and a half figured I would get a sealed copy of this album to add to the collection of viscera infest

hey guys so I was heavily into goregrind as a teenager in the early 2000s but moved on to other things as I got older. From time to time I’m still nostalgic and right Now I’m feeling a heavy wave of that.

so back then I had a small CD library with every LDOH album, Lymphatic Phlegm both albums and the split with xxx maniak, Haemorrhage Grume, Impetigo UMC, Blue Holocaust first, Jig Ai first, some others maybe. Oh Dead Infection Corpses of the Universe, “no one loves me I’m too scratched” 🤣. I smuggled Jig Ai into the car to listen during driving lessons man, I was young. all that’s been lost in different moves in adulthood though.

What triggered this wave of nostalgia is finding Sayat “Journal” EP on bandcamp. They’re indonesian and since I listen to a lot of Indonesian BDM other genres from that country still come on my feed. It’s really lofi and has the windy shifted vocals I remember from LP and Blue Holocaust plus the sad ‘collection’ aesthetic is just ufff right in the feels.

I know a lot of the bands I mentioned have made new material - I’ve heard BH ‘Cannibal God’ and like it. The new LDOH and LP seem really clean compared to the old stuff, do uou like it as much? And what about Jig Ai whole discography theyve been moving it seems.

well what are the main new developments since 2008 or so? I know there’s something called mince which looks like… grind with zoomer humor I guess? what are some good bands keeping alive that really raw lofi sound the way Sayat made me nostalgic?

Largely inspired by the soundtracks of horror cinema, GIAATLITW is 20 Minutes of grinding cyber chaos decorated with synth, harsh noise, feedback, piano, and choir, documenting stories of a century-old terroristic beast.

Out of all my projects under Migraine Fetish this is by far the one I've put the most effort and time into, and I'm super excited for people to hear it!

A listening party will be held August 14, 2026, which will shortly be followed up by the official release of the album.

I've checked discogs eBay depop vinted or however you say it the Japanese second hand market and can't find shit on it any help on tracking down a copy would be appreciated for information one is a special edition white shell of the live album on tape and the other one is the cassette version of the 2005 demo limited to 100 copies never sold on discogs once released in 2009 if anyone has a copy of either of these I'd happily pay some decent money in the future when I make enough if anyone is willing to sell one let alone be in possession of one of these (I know people are probably tired of seeing viscera infest constantly from my posts last post about them for a while I promise)

Forgive me if this is a dumb question as ive only started listening to the genre recently but I listened to their album "grinding opus of forensic medical problems" and it sounds much different to other goregrind albums ive heard. The tracks are longer and to me it sounded kinda like old school death metal. The only thing really giving goregrind would be the vocals. Is this one of those genres where just because there is a small aspect of goregrind, you can class alot of different sounding music as goregrind?

I checked out their newest EP. and frankly, It's hard to call these guys mincegore anymore. Very clean production, lead guitar melodies, and non-standard mince chord progressions. At this point, Haggus seems to be as much heavy metal as much as they are mincegore. This is some straight up Mince 'n' Roll shit and I'm very confused. For a band that prides itself on being mince, they don't seem to fit the bill anymore

Before ya'll downvote this isn't a "hate" post, I'm just curious about why some people like it so much. I'm aware this is an incredibly influential album especially in the gorenoise scene. I've given the album a full listen once, and have come back to listen to specific songs over the years and I cant really hear anything that is going on. I like hymns and rancid juices because there brutal and grimy but have some riffs that i can latch on to. Its not that im not used to extreme music because i've been into it for a while now, its just this specific album that i haven't really grasped yet. I can only decipher one guitar riff on the entire album. Do yall approach this as a gorenoise or a goregrind album? it may be a skill issue on my part, but im just curious what yall think. I like everything about it other than the fact i can't quite understand any guitar riffs on it
