i took the mag well off and now all my bolt is hitting the back of the feed lip on the left side

So I went to a local pawn shop today and noticed that they had a gen 1 galil. I thought it was a 223 but turned out to be a 7.62 with a 13" barrel. Oddly enough thats the one Ive been wanting to get. But the kicker is the price was $2900. I asked the guy what was the reason for the extra grand and he said he was not sure. After looking at it and asking if it was used the guy said yes, but that it probably only had a few rounds through it. It was very new looking. Niw here in Florida guns and most gun related items are tax free untill the end of the year. I know pawn shops are not known for striking a deal, but it is a used gun with $1000 over msrp tag.

You guys thjnk that I might be able to talk them down to $1500? I mean yea its brobably as close to new as it gets, but used is used. And used guns dont sell for msrp 90% of rhe time.

I see there is 2 different models, Mag577 and Mag292. Which model of the 2 should I be looking to get for my Galil Ace Gen 2 .308? Anyone have any experience with these particular mags and rifle and what works best?

I was wondering if anyone knew where to get a classic Galil? Like the one in the picture. I've looked around, and they are all out of stock for the most part. Was going to het one last week, but the deal fell through.

I have a gen 2 galil ace, I installed the grip delete from KNS. When I move either safety (the grip or receiver), they both over travel past the stops. Is there a way to fix this? It doesn’t affect performance as far as I can tell.

I just picked up a new Galil Ace Gen I. It's the one they are advertising as the "Limited Run". I don't care for the handguard and I'm looking to upgrade. The only threads I can find in this group about Gen I handguards are like 5 years old. Does anybody have any current info on handguards for the Gen I's?

Two Galil’s, Gen 1 & Gen 2, both 13”, both chambered in 7.62x39.

KNS pistons, KNS plastic deletes, both with the DoubleStar AKFX, KNS button folder w/boss.

Went with an Apparition Instruments RB2 QD muzzle device on the Gen 1 and an AI RF1 QD MD on the Gen 2.

I run a CAT ODB RDM QD on them. The whole setup is a bit on the heavy side, but insanely reliable and fun to shoot.

If I had to change anything, I would have bought the AKFX stock in the smaller size. Does anyone know if that company still makes them? I have been on the wait list on the KNS/DoubleStar sites for a year…

I bought a parts bundle for a great price that included this carry handle. The handle is different than the one Galil Hub makes. So Im not sure if I got an amazing deal on this or is it possibly an airsoft copy. Im going to imstall it either way, I would just like to know what it is for sure.

Hey there, I recently got one of the 13" Gen 1 7.62x39 Galil Aces and was wondering which version(Smooth or Threaded) of the MI handguards was compatible with this model. Any info is greatly appreciated!

Note, this Photo was taken last month, I did go back over there and saw it was in fact still there. Also in the background, yes there are also 2 Galils on top of their NFA box.

Even though I am not buying it, it’s still a pretty cool piece of history in the Galil community that deserves more love. Also, call me crazy but… I don’t hate the full rifle stock on it, I actually think it’s pretty comfortable to hold.

Collectors Firearms is nice to visit too, you think you are gonna spend 15 minutes shopping, but then you end up spending like 1 to 2 hours in there just looking before you buy anything.

Now the Norinco Hunter IMO, it’s certainly CERTIFIED KOSHER!
