Meanwhile, I've got a dog who freaks out at the slightest touch of wet on her feet. She hates water. She's a husky mix. Forget going outside if it's raining lol. Meanwhile the other one will stay in rain like it's nothing.

Right in that article it says "don't let your dog drink from rivers, ponds, lakes"
My dog loves swimming. There is no way I can stop him from drinking water while he is swimming lol.

First time seeing a curly coated retriever on this. I had one when I was younger. Great dog. Barked a lot at people she didn't know though when they came into the house.
We had a trick though. Take her out for a walk. Bring new person in. Bring her back. She gets confused as to "what is this human meat doing here. I don't remember it". She would go away, come back and then be happy they're there.
Great dog.
