Newbie tank owner here, just purchase the Aquel
Leddy 60 xl
It arrived with this (see image). Is this a base or
Just for transits. It fits perfectly around the tank but is raised at the edges meaning that most of the bottom of the tank would not make contact with the tank stand which doesn’t seem right ?
Thanks

I’ve been thinking about getting a tank on r Facebook marketplace I’ve found one but the only thing is that it doesn’t say the gallon size and the seller doesn’t know the gallon size either so I was wondering if you guys would be able to predictthe gallon size or guess it by the picture

Third rescape of my main tank since I owned it. The last was 6 months ago, but due to issues with a thin sand cap and soil blowout the tank needed a complete teardown. I also took the opportunity to move the tank to a 'King Of DIY' style timber frame to give me more height and cupboard space that my previous stand didn't offer.
I've gone from a jungle style tank to a simpler, low back planted tank with low flat elephant rocks to promote swim space and sand sifting room for my current livestock, and to think ahead of where the plants will grow and fill in the future. I've also opted for runner plants to lower my risk of sand cap blowouts as I don't need to plant anything else when propagating.
Set up
* Tank: Diversa 300L
* Stand: Custom timber frame 88*120*50cm
* Filter: Allpondsolutions EFX+ 2000L/ph + UV + skimmer
* Substrate: Pond soil and kids play sand
* Hardscape: Elephant stone (will be adding wood for Pleco)
* Light: Nicrew C10
* Plants: Amazon Swords, Giant Val, Pearlweed, Anubias, Hygrophilia Polysperma, Taiwan Lily, Various red stems from an old tank
* Stock: Dwarf Rainbow, Zebra Danio, Bristlenose Pleco, CPD, Albino Cory, Cherry Shrimp
Looking forward I plan on maybe getting some dwarf sag as another strong runner plant, but I don't want to fix something that isn't broken so I'll see how I get on. I also may look to replace the CPD school with something else as they've struggled this summer in the heatwave, so may need something more suitable for the temps I have.
Thought I'd share as I'm very proud of it! Happy to take suggestions for fish also to compliment what I already have, I have 7 times an hour turn over with UV so I'm fairly confident I can handle the bioload of some more interesting.

Hi, I am a future fish owner and i'm just starting with the climatization of the fish tank.
It's been 3 days and this is the color of the water.
Is ot normal? Should i add a different product?
Should i start the filter.
Also, how long until I can put the fish there?

Can I add live plants directly to my pre existing fish tank. I have a couple of gold fish in my tank. If yes, what plants can I add and how to go about it?

i suspect wasting disease, any advice on how to cure it? I ordered kanaplex on ebay because it is not available where i live, it should arrive in 10 days but i don’t think he has 10 days. I’ll put a better picture in the comments.
He is still active, not lethargic, still eating. Swimming is a bit wobbly.
I just fed him some food with crushed garlic, a natural antibiotic.
tell me there is hope

Can anyone explain to me please why these girls keep fighting? They’ve both been in the tank from the start… but today they’ve just started going at each other and I’m worried they will kill each other.
