Questions I was asked during PA interview
I had an informal in person interview with my Ops Manager and then a virtual one with that same ops manager on Chime. I'm only writing this to help others who are frantically searching reddit for PA interview questions like I was. Here are the questions I was asked...
- Tell me about yourself
- Tell me about a time you dealt with a difficult customer/person and how did you handle it
- Tell me about a time you had to make a difficult decision in the short term to benefit the long term goal
- Tell me about a time you had to use data in a project/situation
- Tell me about a time you had to motivate a group
- Are you comfortable giving direction to/leading associates during operations
My area manager put in a good word for me but I have no idea if that impacted the length of my interview or the importance of my answers. To be honest my stories were trash but I stuck to the STAR method as best as possible. Both interviews my ops manager stressed that STAR was important. I asked two questions to the manager at the end because it is important to ask questions even if you don't really care about the response
- What key performance indicators/metrics are used to measure success of a PA? How would a PA be graded in a quarterly or yearly performance review for example
- What has kept you at Amazon since you joined the company.

Guidance needed: Converting from Contract TPM to FTE within Amazon.
Hi All,
Looking for advice from folks who have converted from contract to FTE within Amazon or who is working as FT at Amazon.
My background: I am at Amazon for 18 months as a contract TPM and contract ends in 6 months. I have a 12+ years of experience leading complex product and technology programs across NPI, production readiness, and deployment.
My L6 manager knows I’m looking for FTE and is supportive, but hasn’t referred me or introduced me to hiring teams. Also, my L7 has noticed my work and mentioned that I execute well without authority and have filled a lot of gaps across our team and stakeholder teams.
Where I need guidance is:
- What’s the best way to reach Hiring Managers internally as a contractor through Slack.
- How do I get on the radar of the sourcing/recruiting team to make sure my resume gets considered and not auto filtered?
- For those who converted - did your L6/L7 referral make a difference, or did you have to network on your own?
Appreciate your feedback. Thanks!

Are referral bonuses the same nationwide?
my friend is using me as a reference for their hiring at a different site than mine, so Im not sure exactly what their hiring bonus is. My site has signage indicating a $125 referral bonus, which seems to
be the standard from what I can tell, outside of possibly during peak at some sites. Does anyone work at a site that has a higher bonus than this? according to Aza the bonus is based on the site of the hiree, not the referer. specifically, the site in question is dxh1 in chicago, so if anyone works there or at any centers in chicago that would be helpful.
cheers

How long does it usually take to get the email with your Day 1 / Day 0 orientation date?
I received the verification call about two weeks ago but still not receiving any email that indicates me when I am going to start working.

Shift and first day cancelled
I’ve just completely my pre hire meeting, and as soon as it was done (after she confirmed everything) I received this email saying it was now full and my first day is cancelled.
Honestly I’m so annoyed, I have a 2 year old and I had handed in my notice already to my job to start this one next week as it was perfect hours around childcare, like, perfect!!
Contacted support and they just told me to keep checking for a new shift but I guarantee that shift won’t work for me and childcare.
I don’t understand how they can do this?? Confirming it even in the pre hire meeting what my start date was only to receive an email immediately after. Why even let me complete the pre hire meeting?

Never received information about the drug screening/background check.
My first training shift starts later tonight and I am just now finding out that there was a whole process that should’ve taken place before then. I have never received any info about the drug screening and background check or even pre hire appointment. They sent me my first start day, location, time, etc and that is it. Should I still go in tonight?

Looking for referrals
Hi everyone,
I’m a Chartered Accountant (qualified in Nov 2023) with around 3 years of experience in statutory audit.
I’m currently looking for opportunities in Finance / Statutory Audit / Financial Reporting, preferably in Delhi NCR/Gurugram, but open to the right opportunity elsewhere as well.
I have experience in statutory audits, financial reporting and working with corporate clients.
If anyone knows of any open positions or can provide a referral, I’d really appreciate it. 🙏
Thanks in advance!

I just applied for a flex position (19 hours) for a grocery warehouse associate position. I was wondering if the max hours are 19 hours or can I pick up more shifts?

What’s happening?
Every time I am lucky enough to see a job opening I get the application and it’s locked just for me. And then right after the screen where you can choose your gender and whatnot I get this screen and email. Any ideas as to why this happens?
A few months ago I was a seasonal and I did not resign but I did leave the country and for about one month I was not showing up to work. It’s been 100+ days since then & im not exactly sure if that’s the reason but I feel like it could be. I also get this odd feeling like I’m still hired or something because I never did get a email telling me I was fired- my a-z account just got disconnected or something.

Blue badge amazon
I got hired in as a warehouse delivery associate the 1:20 am to 11:50 am shift. I was like one of the only ones hired in for seasonal for this area. What are my chances of go ing blue badge. The main area that is hiring is the jeffersonville Indiana area. But not the Louisville.

Amazon Operations & Logistics Intern UK Questions
What type of question's do they usually ask? My understanding is that there are going to be some behavioural questions w.r.t. Leadership Principles and some general job related stuff but if anyone here has any idea, that would be very helpful. Also are there gonna be some technical questions as well? I am actually super nervous
