Hey friends. I took a break from the song of the day thing for a few days because I wasn't feeling great mentally, and I didn't want to do it for the sake of making a random post. But after giving it some more thought, I wanted to start it up again. I may not always give a lot of thought to the song I choose, and it may even be random. But I guess I'd really like to hear the thoughts of the community on each song, and maybe promote songs that aren't heard as often as well.

My short thought on this track is that I love how high energy it is. I'm a big fan of the force Amy puts into the vocals on this one, and I really dig the opening riff and like the variation of it in the chorus. As a guitarist, I think I'd have a fun time playing this song.

Hey all, wanted to share this cool unexpected piece of Evanescence lore that I came across while traveling last month. This appears to be a collectible treating pin by Incendium, a concurrent release with the comic book series that came out in 2021. I was wondering if anyone has seen this pin before, or any of the other ones as part of the collection. It is very beautiful in person! I had no idea about the comic book series at the time. Wish I could have gotten them!

I’m equal parts excited and slightly terrified to be sharing this. Your Star has been my favorite song on The Open Door since the album came out, and I’ve wanted to do a cover like this for almost as long. With the 20-year (!!!) anniversary coming up, I figured it was a good time to actually do the thing.

I feel like this song has such a strong emotional arc, it could easily work as its own theatrical scene. So that’s what I went for - a stage scene type of setup, and really showing the journey from tired & sad to anxiety attack to full breakdown (which I do have firsthand experience of, unfortunately). It’s difficult to allow myself to crack and keep the imperfections in the vocal performance, and I’ve never done a video recording like this before, so a lot of this is way out of my comfort zone. But I’m glad I did it and got out what’s been in my head for so long.

HUGE thank you to my friend Emily for not only helping me film and record this, but encouraging me and giving me amazing suggestions. Thanks also to my friends who gave me feedback and hyped me up when I needed it.

I am a long time Evanescence fan but also struggle with social anxiety, due to a breakup I am going to have to brave this going alone I think, I normally wouldn't but this is Amy Lee we are talking about..

Hallo there! I'm from Dublin and I am flying over for the Evanescence gig on September 19th. This will be my first time seeing them headlining, as the only other time I've seen them was when they opened for KoRn in Los Angeles at their 30th anniversary show on October 5th, 2024.

This will be my second time to Frankfurt, having previously been there in 2023.
