Discussion Elden Ring Builds Discord Server

Upvotes

Almost three weeks after the release of Elden Ring, an official subreddit server has been created. The server is mainly focused on builds, but there is some options for co-op and PvP as well.

Help Build Trauma

Post image
Upvotes

I’m at level 92 and I’m completely stuck. First playthrough and I’m currently using the magma wyrm blade and some random incants, but I’m ready for something new. I’m stuck at the draconic tree sentinel, but I have all of limgrave, caelid, liurnia, and the volcano area mapped out. I want a build that’s fun but also not too hard to play. What should I use and where do I gather the talismans and gear? I have a larval tear ready to respec, so stats don’t really matter as long as it’s attainable at level 92

Question Int/Fth guide pls?

Post image
Upvotes

We all know about casting tools that are good for int/fth build, and we know about SoNaF and Rellana’s Twin blades.

But how do you start int/fth? What class to use? What weapons to look for? Maybe I should stick to one single stat and level second one later? But wouldn't that mean I'll be focused on int or fth, making it easier to keep leveling them up rather than waiting much longer to start reaping the profits from mixing them?

Maybe I should infuse some weapons and hope it won’t deal doo doo damage or focus on straight pure casting without using armaments in 90% of cases?

Help Help

Upvotes

I'm fairly new to the game and was looking on YouTube for some good bleed builds but almost everyone required the nagakiba but I don't wanna kill Yura since he's the homie so I was wondering if there was another good early game katana/weapon that I could use as a substitute? Or should I just use the uchigatana?

Help Am I wasting my time going for Dragon Communion incantations?

Upvotes

So I’m up to level 60 shooting for a mage build who uses dragon breath attacks alongside my spells. The issue here is that these dragon attacks don’t seem to do much. Should I just respec as soon as I can to focus on a spellcaster build and move points out of faith and arcane to use elsewhere? Anyone have success with this combo?

PvE Strongest Weapon + Shield build WITHOUT buffs for Guard Counters or Parries

Upvotes

This is exclusively for PVE only, recommend me strong weapon + shield combos that I can get early and play with through the whole game + dlc.

I want to focus on guard counters or parrying, not shield poking. Shield poking is boring.

Both greatsword are infused with cold, +13, and have the stormcaller ash of war, and yes 40 endurance was necessary not to be heavy load

Discussion RL 125/ 150/ 200? What do you prefer?

Upvotes

I’m RL 150, I wish I should’ve stayed at RL 125 but I’m wondering what the RL 200 scene is looking like. Should I remake a character for 125? Should I step up to RL 200? What have you guys found enjoyable? How are Co-Op, Invasions, and PvP to you? I’m also a Dex/Faith build.

PvE Need help with death build

Post image
Upvotes

Trying to make a death build for a themed duskborn ending, wanting to use all the death/ghostflame spells, I know I’m going to use the prince of death staff… but I’m having trouble with a R hand weapon. I’ve been thinking about using the death ritual spear but I’m unsure.

In general if someone could give me some possible weapon choices, talismans and where to put the levels (I tend to stop at RL150) it would be greatly appreciated!!! 😁

Discussion GhostFlame Build Strength

Upvotes

I recently watched a video from Bushy, i believe its a kind of older video though but it's where he's playing through the convergence mod i believe as a necromancer and it made me want to really try my best to recreate it in non modded Elden Ring.

So yes, i know it's modded content so everything has new effects, new spells, new weapons, ashes, etc... etc.. that wont be in a non modded elden ring but should still be doable to a lesser degree.

It's been quite awhile since ive done a build using any of the death sorceries and I dont really pay attention to patch/update notes so im not really 100% sure on just how good the sorceries are (or if theyve received any buffs recently) i know weapons like Deaths Poker are still solid choices so i know if i went with a focus on the death focused weapons id do alright, but i wanna make a build thats centered on the spells and weapon not just the weapon

To put my rambling to a stop, are the death sorceries any good at all and worth making a build around?

PvE This build would be viable?

Upvotes

What do you mean I didn't read that? Bro, I'm making a build with the Moonlight Greatsword, and I was thinking of using a Fire Claymore to remove the Frostbite and also deal decent physical damage on top of the magic damage. One in each hand to do power stance. Do you think this build would be viable? What attributes and talismans do you recommend? I'm at level 107. Just one question.

Discussion Need a new build suggestion

Upvotes

I'm a high level so I can pretty much do anything except for just putting 60/80 in everything. Here are a few of my favorites I've tried

Carian sorcery sword and eclipse shield (dex/int)

Used carian/Loretta's spells. Carian retaliation on the shield (best parry imo)

Rellana's twin blade and staff of the great beyond(faith/int)

Used fire incantation and carian/Loretta/ putrecent spell

Backhanded blade and gravel stone seal(dext/faith)

Used lightning incantation

Banished knight sword and great stars(quality)

For this one i used some fire incantation for ranged damage

Danes foot work with cold affinity(int/dex)

Used spells for ranged damage

Those were just the fun or cool looking ones I tried

Discussion Suggestions/Ideas for a Link (Legend of Zelda) based build

Upvotes

Hello friends,

I know this is a somewhat tired topic as I am clearly the six millionth person to be interested in this idea, but in researching a bit into a Link based build (not necessarily a direct cosplay), I found a lot of the content to be either very dated or somewhat unserious. I know sword and board is pretty much the essential classic build, but ER is so big and vast that certainly there are interesting ways to spice it up and have a good time with it without going full strength tank or relying on relatively simple swords, so I ask, what are your ideas?

Is quality the best way to go? Imagine helmet-less medium rolling, actual usage of the shield (I’m tired of roll-only Dex builds), and an offhand bow that actually contributes to damage. Probably pots for bombs too. Just curious what thoughts people have.

Help Lusat’s Glintstone Staff?

Upvotes

It says it “enhances glintstone sorceries” for 50% increased FP.

Is that enhancement passive like Graven Mass Talisman or is it baked-in to sorcery scaling?

Google says one thing, but I’m asking to confirm.

Question Need help with spellblade build weapons

Upvotes

Im running a int dex focused build, my spells are only going to be carian sorcery spells (the melee spells).

Im level 80, running godskin heavy thrusting sword and carian glintstone staff.

My main question is, what weapons would make this build more fun?

I only want weapons that are able to be used with scholars armament, so they cant be infused with any elements.
