30F, have been having this weird tingling sensation on my tongue for quite some time now. It does not really affect my daily life but it has been there for a while.
I got it checked before and the doctor suggested B12. I was deficient around 3 years ago, but got it tested again about 2 months ago and my B12 is normal now.
I honestly cannot explain the sensation properly. My tongue has this weird taste/sensation and spicy food burns a lot more than it normally would, even when the food is not that spicy. It almost feels like my whole tongue is irritated or has some kind of injury.
The only deficiency I currently have is vitamin D.
What could cause this if B12 is normal?

So for context, I am a 21 year old female with PCOS. I only take medications to treat my pcos which i started about 8 or 9 months ago, but my current meds are metformin er 500mg 2x/day, spironolactone 100 mg 2x/day, and slynd birth control every night. I take B12 1000 mcg in addition to my medications once a day just because I heard metformin causes a deficiency.
Some months ago I developed some lines on top of both of my pointer finger tips which I didn’t think much of but I’m quite curious of them now. There’s no break in the skin, it’s just lines similar to those small lines on your palms. I noticed that upon touching them they have this weird sensation sometimes, almost like prune like when you’re in the water too long. There’s only a few on each and they aren’t painful or noticeable unless I see and touch them. I have no history of cardiac issues in my family or myself.
Any idea of what this could mean? If it’s indicating something bigger is wrong?
✨TLDR: 21 year old female, spironolactone, metformin, vitamin b12, and slynd all for pcos, lines on both pointer finger tips, weird prune sensation when I touch them, had them for some months, is something wrong?

I’ve had this small raised/rough spot on the back of my scalp for about 1–2 years. It feels like something is bulging out of the skin. I’ve scratched it off a few times, but it always grows back.
I took these close-up photos with and without flash and separated the hair to show it better.
I’m wondering if anyone has had something similar or knows what it could be. Could this potentially be skin cancer, or does it look more like something benign?
I’m planning to see a dermatologist, but I’d appreciate any experiences or advice

I recently had treated a kidney infection for the second time within a year. Both of these times the bacteria was e-coli. I finished the antibiotics a day before going camping for 5 days. Today one day after coming home I woke up sick. I threw up this morning and have a continuous stomach ache and headache. I dont have any consistent pain in my flanc but I do have pain on my left side flanc if any muscles tighten on that side. No urgency pain or smell for the bathroom. Im not sure if its just a cold or if its the bacteria but I live in the u.s so going to the instacare now seems wasteful if its nothing

When I was putting my cat in her cage she snapped and attacked me. She scratched my arm which she’s done a few times and I’ve treated it with topical ointment but what I’m worried about is that she punctured inside my hand with her claw. I’m not posting a picture because you can barely see the puncture but it hurt so bad I screamed bloody murder and I saw her claw deep inside my hand and it was poking out of the unpunctured part of my skin like it was going to break through the other side. It burns so much right now I don’t know what to do because I’ve been on antibiotics for four days because of a different infection unrelated to cats and I’m supposed to keep taking antibiotics until I get my surgery.

I had "routine" carpal tunnel release. My surgeon was watching what I assumed to be a student. She stabbed my medial nerve, my hand jumped the pain was crazy. My surgeon said "you just stabbed his medial nerve, you can't do that you have to do it this way" he took over the rest of surgery I have been having what I can only call tremors in my arm shaking. My fingers are still numb my pinky has some sensation. The pain shoots up my arm over my shoulder into my armpit chest area. What the hell is going on.

I got 8 stitches late Saturday late night/early yesterday morning. My concern is that randomly bleeds through the bandages, feels like it’s tugging whenever I bend my finger and that it looks like there’s still some fat/dermis bulging through.
When I show ppl they all think they look pretty rough and even the dr (or nurse I don’t remember) described them as “hodgepodged.” I was told by one person to get them redone but I really don’t want to if I don’t have to.
Injury details: it was a nasty tear from a dull piece of metal tearing through my skin and not a cut. There was two main flaps and a couple smaller tears and a lot of dermis and/or fat was coming out. I know she didn’t have a lot to work with, I was surprised that the flaps of skin could cover any of it tbh. And definitely one of the most painful experiences of mine.
Stitches aftercare: She was also really vague with the instructions for how to care for it. Like saying “it’s up to you” when I asked if I should keep it covered or not. And said “you can if you want” when I asked if I should put like antibiotic ointment on it or leave it dry. She also said not to get it wet for the first few days but also to wash it with soap and water after 24 hrs. So idk I’m also confused on how to care for it.
Idk I’ve never had stitches before and I’m just worried that they still hurt this much and that it looks like this. Also it appears that some fat or something is still bulging out. I can’t outstretch my hand or really move my fingers with out it hurting and it feeling like it tugging on my whole finger.

I know I either mimic how my dad walks or bad knees are genetic. Is this something to be worried any about?
The wear is impressive, especially for only being on one leg

15F, 5’8-9? 50kg.
I’ve been having issues with my hips since may-April, and also been seeing a physical therapist for that amount of time.
My lower back, specifically the right side, has started hurting so bad it’s a bother to do anything. Bending over feels like my nerves are being grated, walking makes my right leg literally buckle because of the pain, sitting makes my hip hurt unbearably, and lying down makes my legs tingle and jumpy (?) like I can’t make them stay still.
My legs feel sore but also tingly but also heavy. When I walk it’s like jumping from a high place onto solid ground, like shocks going up my legs. I’ve started walking weirdly, (unevenly, dragging my feet, stepping differently). Also for some reason it takes 2-3 minutes to pee despite how much I need to?? I’ve seen this could be useful information.
My physical therapist made it go away for two days, then it came back worse. Now she’s gone from work till October because of a herniated disc , but my mom told me there was no way I had that because I’d be crawling around on the floor from pain.
So, does anyone have any ideas? It’s mostly so I can find exercises or temporary fixes because it hurts SO bad and is disrupting my daily routine.

Hello everyone
I just wanted to share my bloodwork and I would appreciate input. I’m a 26 year old male, 5’11” tall, and 187lbs. I drew the blood while on vacation (abit of mix up than my usual routine). I workout (resistance training) 4-5 times per week. However, there is no cardio whatsoever. Throughout the year, I would like to say my diet is fairly clean and balanced, with emphasis on red meats and fish.
My supplements include: Zinc and D3. I am NOT any other compound/supplement
I don’t have any symptoms but I feel like my libido can use some improvements. I would just like to know how I can improve in the long run. What are somethings I can supplement with or change in my life style to increase my total/free testosterone.
BLOODWORK:
Testosterone – Total: 4.40 ng/ml (15.27 nmol/L) — ref 3.3–8.05

I (18F) have been experiencing on and off mild back pain for the last couple of years, but in recent weeks it has gotten worse. I work a pretty active job as a cleaner, which also involves heavy lifting (I don’t push myself, frequent breaks) so I tied it down to that, but even when I booked five days off my back pain didn’t lessen.
It feels like my spine is twisted really tightly, especially in my upper and middle back, and it just feels like a squeeze in my lower back. I also have a lot of muscle pain in surrounding areas, and in the last few days the pain has traveled to my shoulders and down the sides of my back which I haven’t had happen before. So, my whole back is killing me at this point.
I’ve tried a massage and it helped for an hour or two, and then my back pain came back. It also gets a lot worse when I’m on my period, I have had instances where I haven’t been able to move without extreme pain.
If I go to the doctors with this, will it be taken seriously or am I just wasting my time?

I M22, 5’6 125 pounds live in Tennessee but inside my house, 72°F feels chilly. My house is at 70°F at night because my dad gets hot easy, and I am freezing cold at night as well as when I wake up in the morning. While I use a fan for noise dampening, I understand it doesn’t help my feeling cold. So that’s a contributing factor. I also have struggled to get up in the morning for hours at a time and thought me falling back asleep instantly after turning off my alarm was because of depression. Also the fact I feel cold and under the blanket is warm. I had chalked it up to I like heat and depression. However after sleeping at my boyfriends (he keeps his house at 77 cause his grandma) I definitely thought the over sleeping and sleepiness may have been the cold. When im there I sleep easily still but wake up after 7-8 hours feeling pretty energized and waking up feeling awake. Hours before I would start to at my home. Which further made me question. I mean yeah it being warmer just like I thought helped. However I tried to look up why 70 degrees would make me feel so cold and miserably tired in the morning. The Gemini summary said that’s not normal. And should be comfortable (I know AI just pulls all info online and I usually don’t worry about things health related just because something online says something) however it got me curious since I still wanted to know why I feel so cold. My boyfriend says I run hot and my body is always warm. So I just don’t understand why I feel so cold even though I feel as if my body should be used to the temperature the house is plus my being a warm person my body should be keeping me warm. AI keeps saying under active thyroid could cause these symptoms, even with a slow metabolism my body could be losing the weight from it in other ways (because I said I have a high metabolism). It’s also saying it could be hyperactive thyroid issues. It’s AI and I feel stupid for letting it get in my head enough to even post this but I still don’t know why I’m cold so I’m curious. Given the severe cold sensitivity and exhaustion, could this be an underactive/hyperactive thyroid, or does my high metabolism/low body weight just mean I lack insulation to keep warm at night?

My mother (49F, 78kgs, 5’4) DM Type 2, CAD- had angioplasty in 2021, has no BP issue.
Current status :
HbA1c - 5.9
CRP - 15 mg/L
LDL - 67 mg/dl
Triglycerides- 62.1 mg/dl
Cholesterol- 68.7 mg/dl
Currently on : Clopidogrel, Statin, nitroglycerin & propranalol for CAD/ Metaformin, Glimepride, empagliflozon & linagliptin for DM type 2.
My mother was recently admitted in a reputed hospital under a Senior internal medicine specialist supervision, who diagnosed her with influenza type A with a CRP of 15 mg/dl and put her on IV pcm and bunch of other medicine and supplements along with antiviral.
The problem: my mother’s cardiologist whom we visited 2 months back for follow up (ECG, echo, TMT - all remarkable) had already put her on nitroglycerin and propranalol since 2021. Please note my mother did not have angina pain after successful angioplasty.
Internal medicine specialist when saw the prescription and last cardiology report suggested that cardiologist should not have put my mother on nitroglycerin & propranalol, calling it “its not really needed” and replaced both of them with nebivolol to be taken at night.
I’m just anxious at this point, should i bring this to my mothers cardiologist notice right away?
Or should i continue with IM specialist prescription?
I share personal terms with my mothers cardiologist and don’t want to come out as a silly patient attender that doc hates. I’m in no position to question both of these opinion.
Please note Internal medicine specialist is a senior consulatant in early 60s and highly qualified.
Any insight would be helpful.
