Puppy! Do you let your dobie sleep on your bed?

Hello everyone! So my puppy is a little over 4 months. She still sleeps in her crate at night but before bed time I let her on my bed and eventually she clams down and sleeps on my bed then I put her in her cage when I get ready to sleep. When do you guys recommend I can start having her sleep on my bed? What about potty training? She is doing really well so far just don’t want her to wake up and have an accident which I’m sure is apart of the process!

My doberman is still active for 7 years old and I was just wondering is anybody else dog still active at the year 7-8. I’ve owned other breeds and usually by the age 6-7 they start laying around all day with less exercise but my boy Zeus he wants to play every 20-30 minutes lol.

I still cry every day. I still have days where I can barely get out of bed. I have yet to figure out how to go on without him, even now. I don’t know what I’ll do on the actual 1 year date.

I know she’s melanistic so she’s not “breed standard” but I do love this little demon

Research Apoquel

Upvotes

My faun 6yr male has been on apoquel for about 3.5 years . I’ve noticed his skin has white spots and when he gets a pimple or a scratch etc they never go away . I don’t know what he’s allergic too , but what other options for itching . I’ve been through many foods since he was a pup . He currently on zignature pork. I’ve tried salmon oil nothing

Training, Temperament, & Behavior Are Dobermans generally picky eaters?

Lab dad here, labs will eat everything and anything. Rescued a Dobie mix a couple months ago. No veggies, very little fruit ( blueberries and bananas only) and many other healthy options. I made lick mats with cooked carrots mashed with pumpkin and peanut butter, she left any semblance of carrot. I get the impression she won’t eat unless she’s hungry which is the opposite of what I’m used to. Pic for cuteness 🐾

Mixed Breed: Question Our 5 month Doberman maybe German Shepherd / Beagle / Hound mix! DNA test sent this week. Any advice on this breed to be happy and healthy?

Currently trying to stop his occasional biting and lots of jumping on people, otherwise a really good pup who gets lots of fun play time and has learned very quickly to sit and give paw for treats, food, and toys.

Research I’m thinking of making my own treats, any suggestions?

I’m planning on buying a pupsicle and the pupsicle tray to make treats, I’m kind of tired of buying treats when I could make em myself. Im looking to keep her looking toned and slick, she’s 1/4 euro I want her to be as big as she can get but not in a fat way. I keep her well exercised, 2 hr dog park (2x a day on work days) and 3 hr walks (+ park on days off) are our usual routine. Her food is blue buffalo lamb and oatmeal puppy food, I’m planning on add apples carrots and broccoli to her diet. All I know is that I’m looking for ingredients that give her protein, keep her coat nice n shiny, and is amazing for gut health.

Puppy! Looking anywhere in NA for Doberman breeder focused on family pet

Upvotes

Hello!

This will be my family’s second Doberman. My first was around for my first two children and was a great Doberman (he was a rescue so very likely from a backyard breeder). He has since passed on and we now have four children (under 10). We are all missing having a dog and wanted recommendations for a breeder (we will travel anywhere in Canada or the US to get it) that is very family-focused and temperament focused. We are not looking for a protection dobe. My husband and I are very experienced dog owners (my dad is also a retired veterinarian and recommended the dobes) but still want one bred for companionship for our kids.

Thanks!!
