Question 70mai A810s vs. VIOFO A229 Plus

Hello,

I’m currently weighing between the 70mai A810s vs. the VIOFO A229 Plus as my first dash cam. For the 70mai, I can get that, a 256GB SD card, and its CPL filter for $225 after a discount code. For the VIOFO, I can get that, a 256GB SD card, and its CPL filter for $344 after taxes from Amazon. I don’t drive much currently but thought a good dash cam setup would be worth the money, especially when I start driving more again for work or whatever reason. I might be Doordashing soon as well, so that would include night driving, just unsure how long I’d be doing it.

Is the 70mai the better deal? I realize its rear cam is 1080p and it is less well-known than the VIOFO, but I’d be paying an extra $120 for the VIOFO. I have the money for either, but would prefer to save if possible.

Any advice would be appreciated.

The a229pro is cheaper on AliExpress when there’s discounts. Selling straight from Viofo store

Not comparing, but my experience with tge 70mai + haerdwire kit has been great. I got the 4k front and rear. It stopped working the first day, and I got a replacement within days and all is good.

Good to know. It seems like a legit good cam setup, especially for the value
