Package delivered somewhere unknown
I live in collegetown. Does anyone recognize the place in this photo?

Please place all admissions related posts here, in the form of comments, and current Cornell students will reply. Try to be detailed; if we don't have enough information, we can't help. Also, if you are a prospective student, and have questions about life at Cornell, feel free to post them here!
Any "Chance Me" or admissions related posts placed elsewhere will be removed. If you are a current student, and think that you could offer advice to someone considering Cornell, feel free to respond to some of the posts! Please only respond if you are qualified to do so. We will be checking through these regularly for spam.

As promised, the posting restrictions for all incoming students for the 26/27 school year have been lifted. While we do encourage you not to spam the subreddit with posts, your questions about classes, housing, and more will no longer be removed. Our goal was to keep the subreddit free for finals/commencement season. Now that that's over, we can return to regularly scheduled programming.
This does not apply to rising seniors or anyone else intending on applying to Cornell for future academic seasons (though prospective grad students are exempted). Your posts are likely better suited for subreddits like /r/chanceme or /r/ApplyingToCollege. If you want to specifically ask Cornell students for advice, our 26/27 Chance Me and Prospective Student Q&A megathread is live and pinned to the top of the subreddit.
Of course, you're still free to use the megathread if you wish (linked below). But keep in mind that they won't be pinned, so you may get limited to no interaction in them.
Happy Pride Month, and welcome to Cornell!

Anyone else find it impossible to get a job on workday? Since my freshman year last year, I've sent at least 100+ job applications with zero responses. Is this normal for everyone?

Basically title. Looking for eyebrow threading as I can't get my eyebrows waxed due to skin sensitivity. Anyone have any recommendations?

I was wondering if this was a separate club or maybe exists within the anime club? If not, would someone be interested to start one?

Hi guys!
I ordered an important package earlier this week, and tracking says it was delivered 4 days ago. I checked the service center website and it says processing usually takes 1-2 days, but I still haven't gotten an email saying it's ready for pickup (even though friends who ordered around the same time already got theirs within 1-2 days). It's relatively a medium-sized package if that makes a difference, and one of my other packages only took 2 days to be processed like a week ago.
I already emailed RPCC about it but haven't heard back yet. Is anyone else experiencing delays right now, or is it just me? Starting to get a little worried about it. Any advice would be appreciated!
can some who works at the north campus service center please reply?

I'm watching prof Killian's CS3780 lectures (free) on youtube because I can't understand a single thing (or a sentence) that Karthik (this sem instructor) says in lecture. I can't stop my blood from boiling. I'm paying SO much money and time to get world class education here, and yet here is prof Karthik barely moving his pointer on long ass equations on a powerpoint slide and assuming that 500 students suddenly get enlightened by that. I really wish they stop karthik from teaching ML. This is such a killer to what used to be one of the most valuable and impressive classes at Cornell
I really wish professors return to writing on blackboards. This is a math heavy class. What are we doing looking at slides with equations on them?
But who listens

Has someone taken PMA2680 Desire class? Any opinions? Is it writing heavy? I’m considering adding it this semester.

Hi, I recently lost my student id on the bus (literally checked all over the floor after I realized I didn’t have it) and I got a temporary card at rpcc. They said that it was 90 dollars for a replacement and I’m wondering if there’s any other way to replace it because 90 is a lot… also does the temporary card work on the tcat or is there another way I can use the tcat?

How much is the utility bill for Catherine commons?!? I've been seeing some crazy reviews but just want to see if anyone living there rn or last yr can attest to the price 🙏

Follow up question: would anyone want to play with me? (I'm not very good lol)

I'm the parent of a student thinking of signing a lease on a house. The landlord name they gave me was "Demos Johnny." Anyone have any experience with said company or person? I know it's off campus housing and I lived in some dodgy places myself when I went to school, just trying to make sure we aren't getting into it with a complete slumlord. Thanks!

I moved here recently and I think it'd be a neat surprise for my younger brother back home if I'm able to play with him.
Alternatively, are there any stores around here where I could get one? It seems like there was a gamestop that closed down recently but I haven't found anything else.

Hi guys, I’m a transfer at Cornell looking for some information about renting/off campus housing at Cornell. I was looking to see how much is normal to pay and what places are recommended (with no car). Is having roommates better because it’s cheaper? And what managements/houses …

Hi,
I am currently a junior(F) and I am looking for someone(F) to get an apartment with in collegetown. I don’t know how to start looking and would love to see if anyone is interested since my friends left me out.

Looking to have a few drinks and have a fun time, relive the college days a bit. Where do we go? Noticing most of the old collegetown bars are closed.
