I've read about people trapped like this or stuck in some sort of isolation. It sounds terrible, you lose track of time. She might have thought she was trapped for only 2-3 days. It's weird how time perception happens when we're unable to see what time it is or what's going on outside.

I really hope that she was just a mentally strong person and doesn't hold onto this for long. I just can't imagine getting over that easily.

I mean, if that's the thought that kept her alive all the power to it. This is one of the good aspects of religion. Sometimes people need something to hold onto to get by another day. It doesn't have to be something everyone believes as long as it keeps her alive. I'm not really a spiritual person but I would think in a similar way except I would be thinking about my dogs and holding out for them. Now is not the time to criticize her religion it probably helped her mentally a lot to hold on while the rescue workers did their thing.

Either way it doesn't matter she was rescued. The point I was making was it's irrelevant what kept her going as long as something did. Factually the rescue workers saved her. It doesn't matter what she believes in as long as she was rescued.

You're the dumbass here since I specifically said in my first comment that I'm talking about the poster itself. Not her belief or whether it helps her. Because we don't know what she believes. For all we know she now came out of this hating God but someone is using this story and her image in this way. We don't know and that's what's important here before getting to any other point. It's wonderful a life was saved after so many days in those conditions.

Praising God for this is a bullshit. If you believe in a God, you must accept every aspect of it, not only the things that are handy to you.

If it was God, both the rescue and the catastrophe was because God wanted it. Not only the good part was God and the other we forget about it from our narrative.

Same with medicine. "Praise to God! He cured a kid from cancer"

If it was. God, then he cured the kid but also have him cancer in the first place.

The escamotage used to justify this n these situations is that God wanted near him all the people dead and for survivors "it was a trial for your faith".

Religions are important for the well-being of some people and I understand it but it is important to remember that religions are a vision given from people in power "You poor peasants, you suffer in this life but you will be rewarded in afterlife" And also religions worked as an early law system where it is much easier for people following rules iftit is God that wants this way rather than laws given by a king or a tobal chief or a politician.
