Hunting in simcoe county forest

Just got into hunting and plan on hunting at Sinclair tracks for small game (squirrels and rabbits) anyone have experience with this track and can give some advice and things to avoid doing?

Remember hunting in Simcoe county forests require having insurance. An OFA membership provides members with the required insurance.

I am fully aware of that, since this is my first time hunting I was wondering if there are things I have to keep in mind of. I do realize that it is a public track and I will see hikers and people walking around. If you have experience hunting in this area can you give me some advice on things to do and not to do? I meant how deep should I go into the forest to avoid cross fire?

Is rifle allowed in the Simcoe forests?

To my knowledge rifles are allowed but what’s restricted is the caliber. From what I’ve researched the caliber limit in that WMU is .243
