This has to be the most wedgiest wedge issue I have ever seen. Will any Canadian think of this issue and say wow I better vote for the conservative to stop this.
How about focus on crime, immigration, or cost of living.

Especially when they applied for and received a permit for a three minute call to prayer at noon. People lost their shit and uttered threats of violence.
This is absolutely disgusting and embarrassing behavior. Especially since the people outraged the most were crying about their own personal freedoms less than five years ago.

Thankfully this is only Jamil Jivani saying this shit. He is known for associating with JD Vance and MAGA, which unfortunately lumps the whole party with the MAGA movement in some people’s eyes.
If Harper was still leader, Jivani would have been reprimanded heavily.

This isn't the first time he has done his own thing. Either Scheer or Poilievre need to accept responsibility for members of their caucus runing rogue and embarrassing the party as a whole.

A focus on divisive and polarizing topics especially on Canada Day is unfortunate. Jivani talking points are the same as Tommy Robinson and Nigel Farage in the UK and the same as JD Vance and hundreds of other MAGA politicians in the United States.
The CPC is a very different party at its core than the Progressive Conservative parties that remain, for now, in Canada.
