USC demanded that Notre Dame change their schedule starting immediately or the series would be cancelled. Notre Dame said let’s play the game at the same time it has been scheduled for decades (late October when in Indiana, late November in LA) for the next few seasons because our early games are already scheduled through 2028. USC said no and canceled the series. They came crawling back after the entire football world pointed and laughed at their obvious cowardice. So now we wait 4 years and USC hopes they can rebuild with brisket burner and then we’ll play early season because USC doesn’t think they’re good enough to play Notre Dame late in the year.

I actually think he is going to want to stay at LSU long term and try to build his own dynasty. LSU is the type of school that can win 3 or 4 championships in a decade with a dominant head coach which is why he went.
