You know what, I think I'm into having a season where we're the heel team. You know, the fun theatrical heel, not the "blatantly cheated in our faces" heel that is Michigan.

Maybe it's because I was never into wrestling, but I always felt like there was a difference between a heel and a villain. Y'all are the bad guys because it's a fun storyline, they're the bad guys because they're acting like Vince McMahon
I can even admit that, as messed up as it is that yall are trying to bring on signed NFL players, you're not bringing on actual stars, just two guys who will probably barely get playing time if they're even added to the roster. Like, you're not trying to cheat to win, you're just trying to cheat for the sake of cheating. There's no real conspiracy, just shenanigans
It's less about specifically wanting NFL training camp wash outs. It's more about getting decent depth players that might be hitting the transfer portal with eligibility after arguing their case against the NCAA for not informing them that their eligibility might extend to another season when they implemented the "5 for 5 Rule" after players would have to declare for the draft.
It's not like we're trying to get the 2019 3-headed monster on offense to come back to play school, Lane just wanted depth pieces that would be getting another year of eligibility if the NCAA cared about fairness in the implementation of it's new rules.
Maybe he was altruistically putting them in the spotlight so people might realize how the NCAA shafted these guys or maybe he just wanted some drama, but the uproar this caused is kind of a head scratcher when you actually read past the headlines.
Yep, even the lawyer got into it with, "Served cold gumbo and had to eat it". I seen him say that on the news and laughed. Only in Louisiana with their often corrupt as shit politicians and especially New Orleans.
We’re in our nWo era now. We just play the loudmouth flashy heels trying to take over. Then later on when some other team starts becoming more annoying or hated than us, we can sneakily splinter off to start into our Wolfpac era.
Ive said this before and I'll say it again, being the heel is fine as long as we back it up. If we just suck and keep getting dunked on then that's no fun.
Yeah I caught that too. He was like “we’ll definitely be playing better offenses this year”. Which I mean…..he’s not wrong and it’s good to not be too high on this win but also damn lol
He low key shit on clemson in his post game presser. Most of his answers could be summed up as “I’m proud of our guys who played great but clemson sucks”
I really didnt like that after him and dabo seemed to have a good convo in midfield after the game. Its more important to show class in victory than defeat and he definitely knows dabo will see that clip.
I mean fuck the haters but dont dabo isnt in the media. Hes a coach

Lane just went full savage. "The mock team scored more on us".
What. The. Fuck.
