Well. At least Chad Morris had a shitty night.

Fuck Chad Morris.

Still have no idea how he’s employed after what he did at Arkansas then again at Allen

it's ok we dont know either

Oh wait, it's because dabo loves hiring his friends and nothing else

Yes because it's been years at this point of him refusing to adapt and just constant nepo hires

Dabo has never been a good coach. What Dabo was/is is a good recruiter and motivator and was able to run a good program. However, that doesn't really matter anymore in the current landscape of college football. Dabo could theoretically adapt to the times and still be good at running the program, but he hasn't shown any willingness to do that.

When Clemson was dominant, we had a very good offensive coordinator in Tony Elliott and arguably the best defensive coordinator in the country in Brent Venables. When they eventually left, they weren't replaced by anyone near that caliber because, even though Clemson at the time would have been a very attractive coordinator job, Dabo would rather hire "his guys" which is how we get shit like having Chad Morris as our OC again.'

If Dabo would actually use the portal properly, and hire staff based on merit, he could easily still have a ton of success. But he clearly refuses to do that, so he needs to get the fuck out. Maybe we don't have any more success under the next guy and become just a whatever team, but I'd rather be a whatever team under a coach that is clearly trying to actually make shit work but is failing than be whatever the hell Clemson is right now.

What did he do at Allen?

u/BoseSounddock Arkansas Razorbacks • UCF Knights 2d ago

I believe he lost a home game for the first time ever

Surprised he wasn't buried under the county jail.

I always find it funny people bring up Allen. I know that he's a terrible coach, but Allen that year went 11-3 still, and they were worse the 2 years after he left.

Yeah the fact that he lost more games than the team lost the previous 3 years combined means nothing. Especially when you compare it to them searching for coaching stability the next two years. Them returning to dominating their division probably should be ignored too.

They were a state quarterfinalist, the same as the year before, lol, and they have the same coach after to this day. There's a lot terrible about his coaching career and much, much better examples than an 11-3 state quarterfinal run. Saying he had more loses than three years combined is a lot of heavy lifting when they had 1 loss for three years in a row.

I don't know what you want me to tell you. The expectations and standards at Allen aren't the same as other schools because their level of talent is so high. Saying he had more losses than the previous 3 years combined is fact. You can argue with reality all you want but it won't change the facts.

A newborn could coach Allen to the playoffs because the talent is always there. The impressive thing is Morris getting killed at home by Atascocita despite the talent advantage. Breaking an 84 game streak in his 2nd game.

The guy sucks idk what to tell you.

The Morris stink lingers
