News [Andrew E. Graham] Asked Lance Taylor about the second being put on the clock. Said he hasn’t seen the TV copy but saw live that it was “past zeroes” before one of WMU’s players touched it. Also said MAC commissioner Jon Steinbrecher may already be in touch with the B1G

See, that one was different, because it wasn’t willful. They were just dumb refs.

This has genuine malice behind the decision.

True. Thank goodness Texas is out of the Big 12...

...is what I would say if we didn't join the SEC, where the refs are known to be nearly as conniving as what happened here. Traded incompetence for illegitimacy. And if they aren't conniving, they get bullied by the home fans into breaking the rules

SEC refs def give “we are way too deep into some nefarious shit and will control the flow of this game to our direct benefit” more so than any other conference. 

I love in CFB that you get two choices of refs: Incredibly corrupt or impossibly incompetent. A whole league of replacement-level refs. For a sport that is worth billions and billions and billions of dollars.
