Nah, he wasn't a terrorist. He was the type of coach that could get your team to 10 wins a season, but never win anything.

Considering how bad of a development and gameday coach is, I give Franklin a lot of credit for being so good at recruiting he could get the program to a 10 win level.

He couldn't develop QBs or WRs but overall PSU players were drafted higher than you'd expect given the recruiting rankings.

I assume who he's referring to  is Dwight Galt III who is in fact a legend. He retired in 2023 and chuck losey took over, he did a fine job but I don't think the resume exists to call him best in the nation the way you could Galt, Losey followed Franklin to VT where he ironically replaced Dwight Galt IV, the legendary Galts son who was hired by Franklin assistant Brent Pry as then VT head coach and now VT defensive coordinator
