Recommendations Meadow Yards

Looking to revamp my yard this fall/winter and I am wanting to go more native meadow. Really inspired by Piet Ouldolf style planting. Anybody know of yards in the Birmingham area that would provide good inspiration and examples of people going anti lawn.

I'm not much help, but I do really like the YouTube channel, Native Habitat Project. He lives in the Hartselle area and is a huge and proactive advocate for protecting and revitalizing native species... including in his own yard.

There’s a house on Green Springs Ave near Mountainside Apts that has a fantastic anti lawn. Also a house on Fourth Ave in Avondale. They always grow the most gorgeous flowers.

When you get ready for sourcing Recreative Natives will be a great place to get plants. Very knowledgeable with a cool selection, absolutely worth the drive.

In Highland Park, there’s a house on Cliff Rd and another on 10th Ave S. Plus the medians in Highland Park near Rojo have recently gone native thanks to the group Homegrown Habitat.
