This has been a tough week. My wife suddenly passed away Saturday morning. I'm not going to be able to properly care for our furry little guy, Velcro. My work schedule has be away from monday through Thursday. So, I'm looking for someone who might be able to give our little man a good home.
He's a male, about 4 years old, and is whatever with a bit of black. His ideal home wouldn't have other animals. He gets scared and hides when other animals are around. He is litter box trained. Unfortunately, he hasn't been neutered yet.
Im not looking for anything other than to give Velcro a good home. I have a crate, litter box, etc. For hime.

What is it with this place having terrible options for late-night food? Everything closes so early, and on some days (Sundays and Mondays especially) aren't even open at all.
Even fast food is unreliable - closed lobbies, incompetent, barely-there drive-through service, slow/overly-busy delivery service, or places just plain being closed.
Wegmans is terrible too - they're open until midnight but run out of so much hours and hours before that. Only a couple places, like The Grove, are open kind of late. And now I see Kennedy Fried Chicken is closed for now, and who knows if the service will remain the same.

Bearcats just announced that the owner of 1 & 3 Mather St. is selling the buildings and is asking us to vacate. What do you mean by "vacate" when the tenant just signed the lease and paid rent for September, and now you are asking to empty the building ASAP? What legal options do I have to get sufficient time to find an apartment?

Did the police or fire department ever issue a statement with the exact cause of the fire? I’ve heard different peoples theories and rumors about it but I want something from the source. All the news articles I can find about it are from a few months ago saying that it was still under investigation. If there is, could someone please share a link.

I am hoping to find a local charity that helps with furniture & household items. Food & clothing is currently not needed that I'm aware of.
My friend is a single mother of 5 kids & was recently diagnosed with MS. This means major changes in the house. She made a list of what she needs most but where do I find a place to get her what she needs from a charity? Is there one??
She is in Endicott but I am able to easily pickup wherever so no real limit for where the charity is.
She needs bedroom furniture & bedding. As well as kitchen items to help cook dinners. She has her walker, cane, & most other mobility devices already so she is covered there. She is more worried about making life in the future easier for her kids now that life will be different after her diagnosis.
I have tried FB marketplace & Craigslist for free items but I haven't seen anything see said she needs yet.
Any help pointing me in the right direction would be immensely appreciated!!

Hello to all the parents here. I'm looking to get my 8-year-old into soccer. I want something more serious than Soccer Shots but less intense than a full-on league. He's pretty much a beginner, and I'm not sure where to look for something that will really teach him skills and let him play, without being super intense. Any recs?

Hi - looking to see if anyone can give me history about the origins of this sign and who made it? The back of the wooden sign has the name Bradley C. Main 2011. Was the maker of this sign local? Can’t find much on the internet.
Thank you in advance.

I just got my first motorcycle and I’m looking for somewhere around Binghamton to store it over the winter.
The garage at my rented place is basically unusable/unsafe for a bike, so I don’t really want to keep it there.
I’ve looked at regular storage units, but I’m not trying to spend $500–600 just to park one motorcycle for a few months.
Does anyone know of:
local motorcycle shops/mechanics that offer winter storage
garages that rent out a small motorcycle spot
anyone with secure indoor garage space who rents space to bikes
any cheaper local options I might be missing
I’d obviously pay monthly just looking for something secure and reasonably priced rather than a full storage unit.
Any recommendations or local leads would be appreciated.

Later this month there is an "intelligent" singles mixer event held at a coppertop tavern in Binghamton. I've never been to one of these and am wondering if it's worth it. I'm a man in my mid 20s and I expect that this will be an older crowd. And the fact that it's marketed as intelligent professionals may lure some awkward people. It's $50 for the ticket which is steep, but it might be worth the practice chatting to strangers. Opinions welcome.

Hi everyone, I live in an apartment building with 4 units in Johnson City. I just moved here for a month.
Earlier today, someone rang the doorbell downstairs. When I checked, there were two people, a woman and a man who introduced himself as her father. They asked me if I was the one who answered unit 1x, and I said yes.
Then, they asked if I speak Spanish and said they were sharing messages from the Bible about hope. They also asked if anyone else in my building speaks Spanish. I told them no. After that, they thanked me, said goodbye, and left.
Since I'm living in a multi-unit building, this felt a bit unusual. Has anyone experienced something similar around here? Is this just typical door-to-door proselytizing (like Jehovah's Witnesses), or should I be concerned about a potential scam/casing the building?
Thanks in advance for any insights!

Have only caught one channel cat this year, I've fished the sam spot almost every week trying to get more with no luck. Spot is the rockbottom dam in binghamton. I'm willing to drive pretty far for good fishing spots and would love so recommendations.
I've also tried catfishing at the whitney point reservoir with out much luck, but its been a good spot for bass fishing.

Hello! I was wondering if anyone knew of a semi affordable salon that would bleach my dirty blonde roots?
