Time is the only real cure. Vitamin C and zinc have shown to help with shortening the duration by a little bit, but there’s no direct cure.

Chicken soup has been shown to help improve symptoms as well as pushing fluids. Rest is also restorative but that goes along with the time thing.

Time and your body's immune system is the cure. What helps to manage symptoms is staying well hydrated, eating good nutrient rich foods not junk, getting a bit of sunlight (for both good old vitamin D and mood improvement), and allowing yourself time/space to rest while your body heals.

One of the folk remedies for colds in our country. Drink in one gulp a glass of alcohol with a lot of chili pepper diluted in it, wrap yourself up and sweat a lot. But this treatment is not for weak people)

DayQuil/NyQuil, cheddar broccoli soup, and rest.
