Moratorium on Ticket posts

Upvotes

Effective immediately, all posts pertaining to ticket exchanges (including buying, selling, and giving away) are hereby suspended for the remainder of the 2026 season, which includes Grey Cup (if we get that far). The mod team will review whether or not we will reactivate these types of posts upon conclusion of the season.

I know most of you want to keep the seats going to Argo fans, but it's become too much to police and vet everyone.

First Timer on Sep 19!

Upvotes

I got a set of tickets for my birthday to bring the family and kids (3 and 5)! The kids are super excited as we watch American football every now and then on TV.

1) Wondering if there’s anything I should definitely take the kids to experience in the arena/not miss
2) we’re in section 111

Thanks for any info or recommendations!

My Conspiracy/Dream theory - Chad leaves for redblacks, we take Bryce Perkins as 2nd QB until he's ready to take over

Upvotes

This is all super unfounded and not based in reality, but bits are hinged in innuendo and it's fun to think about.

Conspiracy: Dinwiddie pulled a Brad Pitt from Moneyball and is sabotaging the team - I would bet he pitched getting Chad and maybe ownership was against it, so he just purposefully screwed up the QB room so that after this season he has a lot of roster budget to work with to get Chad Kelly.

Dream: Being a former UFL Michegan Panthers fan, I really like Bryce Perkins. I bet he could be a franchise QB given the opportunity, and it feels like Toronto needs to figure out its qb room pretty soon.

Not saying Chad Kelly is done, but more that I'd bet he'd go back to Dinwiddie given the opportunity.

PODCASTS The CFL Outsiders

WTF is going on in the CFL?
Bombers blast the ALs?
Love embarrasses the Ti-Cats?
Riders defence scores a convert?
At least we can still count on the Redblacks.

What's your favourite CFL or Argos related podcast?

Upvotes

I've been following the Xs and Argos podcast for awhile, and this morning finally tried 3DownNation just because it seems to be the most authoritative news source for the CFL.

Wanting to see if there's any others that are better.

I like Xs and Argos a lot, but they use a lot of technical terminology that assumes the listener has a more than casual understanding of football which I don't have. I'd love to learn, but they don't really do that

NEWS & ANALYSIS QB problems

Upvotes

As much as the man has done for us, I’m afraid Kelly has to go. His poor decision making and TD/INT ratio is one of the worst I’ve seen from a starting QB in a while.
If it can be fixed with a new QB coach I’m all for it but, I’m not sure that’s the answer

SHITPOST Throw the challenge flag

Upvotes

I am officially volunteering to apply as the Toronto Argonauts challenge flag thrower guy. I will work completely free (but the team will have to fly me in for all home and away games). I figure I cant do worse than Dinwiddie and Miller.

Argos lose 28-24 in a confounding game where there were so many bad decisions and points left on the board.

The Riders are banged up pretty good, and this is a golden opportunity to take a win and get back above .500

CNE Game was a smash hit!

I took my niece and her 3 kids to the game (boy 12, girl 10 and girl 6).

Upon arrival, we hit up the midway. Got some rides in and the one girl got dill pickle cotton candy! (blech!)

Then we hit the gate and got our seats in time for lightning to rear its ugly head.

The delay wasn't that bad and soon it was game time!

The fans in section 111 really welcomed us with open arms (and buttons!). My rugby-playing 10 year old grand niece wore her rugby medal from this season and absolutely fell in love with the team. She even has mastered the fight song!

My 6 year old grand niece enjoyed the game, but more into the side stuff: music, light shows, etc.

My 12 year old grand nephew is quite clearly an Argos fan now, and he declared Janarion Grant to be his favourite player.

The GO ride back they were all chattering away about the game and yes, they want to go again!

In spite of the weather, it was an awesome experience for all, and especially thanks to the 111 crew!

Anyone else get locked out in the rain?

Upvotes

I couldn't believe it when all the staff went in and left everyone in line to get soaked. I'm there with 2 kids and my father in his 60s. I understand the delay of game, but we have tickets and they locked the door after letting a bunch of people in. So instead of staying dry in the stadium we got soaked so bad outside everyone wanted to go home instead.

Anyone have a guess how long the rain delay will be?

We walked through the gates and my teenage kid was behind us and they shut the gates. They are 16 and sitting in the food building but I am not enjoying this wait
