Scat found in residential property in woody area of Western Massachusetts. 5"x5" pile, black, spotted, dog wanted to roll in it. Bear? fox?

100% a black bear (source: looking at my backyard 😅)

It is too big and too public to be from a fox.

It could be from either coyote or bear.

I would put my money on being bear. Reason being, a coyote is not going to eat that many black cherries all at once. Their scat would likely show bits of hair or bones or insect parts, grasshopper legs, that kind of thing.

This is 100% cherry pits and pulp.
