Hello AK47 fans,
This is the moment you have all been waiting for. The annual recap of the most dogshit posts of the last calendar year, carefully curated into a series of albums for you. This year was a doozie, and turned into our biggest post yet (though 2026 is already shaping up to give this year a run for it's money). This year we are going to make things interesting and add a poll for you to vote on the absolute worst posts of the year. The winner will receive custom flair (at a minimum) memorializing their accomplishment. I am open to suggestions on the specific phrasing.

Zastava M70 170th anniversary edition, would you bite?

They are asking $990. I have no AK's currently (I do own a Galil SAR). Can't find a whole lot of info, but they seem to have been around $1300 new.

Rpk plinking today

Went over to a buddy's house to sight in a couple guns this morning. Brought the rpk over since I hadn't shot it in a while. Always brings a smile to my face when I get to run some rounds through it. Brought the sp1 out also and snagged a couple photos. Nothing fancy, but it reminded me how much I love this thing. 71 kit build on a nodak receiver, tula bakelite in it just for the vibes.

What the differences and pro/cons for the different types of optic mounts of AK?

There are three common types of Optic mounds for AKs:
Side-mount: this is the most common type, but it changes the gun's center of gravity and always causing your AK to tilt to the left.
rear sight mount: bridge-like mount installed on the rear of AK's ironsight.
foremount:they are installed on the front handguard.
in practice, what are the differences and pro/cons of each type?
Does Anyone Else Vacuum Seal?

KNS piston install?

Hey guys going to install KNS piston in my wasr10 and was surprised that mine did not have a pin in it?
I see one hole with threads under it.
So do I just unscrew it?
Nothing on the other side either as through hole on anything.
