Hi everyone, I am a volunteer networking shelter dogs, and I am begging for a miracle for a completely flawless, sweet boy before his final clock runs out. Cameron has an urgent final notice exit deadline of Wednesday, September 9th at 2:00 PM PDT. He has spent nearly two full months at the San Bernardino City Animal Shelter.
Cameron is a gorgeous 2-year-old neutered male white and gray Labrador Retriever mix (Animal ID: A595507) who currently weighs 79.00 lbs. He was surrendered by his owner on July 9th through no fault of his own. Shelter staff and volunteers have fallen completely in love with his temperament, explicitly documenting that he "acts good and will greet you." He loves human affection, playtime on the grass, and treats. 🐾❤️
Unfortunately, his stay has reached a critical tipping point. Because he has spent months confined to a small cage, shelter logs from August 26th indicate he is experiencing an increased risk of severe mental distress (kennel stress). He has lost a slight amount of weight from the anxiety of the facility, and kennel staff note he periodically flips his food bowl out of sheer frustration and boredom. He is a young, healthy, deeply loving family dog who is slowly breaking down behind bars. He desperately needs an immediate foster home or a 501(c)(3) rescue pull right now to clear his kennel before Wednesday afternoon.
✈️** TRANSPORTATION IS AVAILABLE ACROSS THE US AND CANADA! Distance will not stand in the way of saving this handsome boy—transportation can be fully arranged for an approved foster home or rescue backing! 🇺🇸 🇨🇦
**How you can save Cameron right now:
Foster or Adopt: Call Heather immediately at 847-445-4036 and reference ID A595507. Please act fast, call right away!
Pledge Donations: Financial pledges make it significantly easier for independent rescue groups to take on large shelter dogs. If you can pledge any dollar amount to help a rescue cover his pulling and safety fees, please DM me directly. Every bit helps us secure a rescue pull!
Upvote and Comment: Please upvote and comment on this post for visibility so it hits the Reddit algorithms quickly before Wednesday afternoon.
Let's get this perfect boy out of his cage and back onto a real couch. Save Cameron! 🫶🏽🙏🏽❣️

I hand-painted this custom watercolor portrait of this content Labrador, based on the original photo his human shared. Do you think I did him justice?
I had fun painting this dog. That relaxed, settled look on his face made the work pleasant. I removed the tracking collar tag and kept the rest of the scene exactly as it was. Brown fur is always tough to get right, especially with the greying around his muzzle.
I painted it by hand in watercolor as a commission. I hope his personality comes through on canvas. Would love to hear what you think!
